      Thank you. We wanted to try out something with the postcard look in the beginning and I am somewhat happy how it turned out. Next time I will have to have a bit longer for the segment so I can leave the zoomed in views for longer. With the 4 times 4k video, my computer hated me for that segment, but I liked the style of intro. Glad you liked it too.

    Wowee, the views you get to experience blow my mind. Loved watching the hike, at least it's well pathed out, but wow it sure does get steep quick! Kleine Melcha is a lovely stream and waterfall. Nice to see the bridge and the rock formations along the way, super beautiful. That's a great touch that they made sure there was ropes to help you along the ascend. Oh my, the center of Switzerland is absolutely amazing to see. So amazing from the air and all the various views surrounding are really next level. Thank you ever so much for this wonderful, calm hike, really enjoyed it!

      Thank you so much for this kind feedback. The hiking paths in Switzerland are usually well maintained, but at times you still feel very insecure. It is important never to rely to 100% on these aids, as some might just be damaged. For example on the scramble, some of the metal bars ended up being loose.
      A drone often offers so many new perspectives. Without it, I wouldn't have realized that the enclosement at the symbolic center is actually the outline of Switzerland. It doesn't really show on the ground.

      Thank you Ian. We actually didn't find out about Chris Zabriskie until your most recent video. Scott Buckley I discovered when we did our Iceland series. His songs were just perfect for that. With Chris, I really enjoyed the background music in your last video, so I decided to see what he offers.

    I sat glued to the screen...wow, wow wow! How absolutely gorgeous. And that waterfall, I'd call it elegant. I've always admired Switzerland from afar- having these visuals I feel privileged to be able to 'visit' despite the distance. THANK YOU ever so much sharing your great experience with me. Breathtaking. Shared on my Community tab. Have a lovely Sunday. 🙏🇳🇱🙋‍♀🇳🇿👌

      Thank you so much for supporting us and even sharing the video. We could immediately see an increase of views from that, so small guestures like these are really helping a lot.
      There are quite a few very nice corners around here in Switzerland and they are not as far away as New Zealand. We are glad you enjoyed the visuals here, but the reality is just still so much better. It is impossible to capture the stunning beauty of this land.

  • @goexploringwithcolor-shawn

      @HikeForHappiness  Před rokem

      Thank you. It was indeed challenging and in parts a bit scary with the scrambles, but they look worse in the video then what they actually where. It was challenging, but more from an endurance perspective given the 1900m elevation gain. Carrying all the camera equipment up a mountain takes its toll. Thank you for watching.

    Does look like quite the scramble up. Do you have grades for the scramble there? I mean the views are just wow! Looks like it’s well worth the climb up. 😁 looks like you had fun using a few different transitions and filming styles in this edit. I like the intro with the four images and them enlarging one at a time 😊

    • @HikeForHappiness
      @HikeForHappiness  Před rokem +1

      I am not sure on about an official grade, but I would say it looked a lot more difficult on the footage than it was in reality. It was essentially a simple ladder. But some of the steps were a bit loose, so it is always good to not rely on it completely. The postcard and expansion intro was a new idea of mine how I could make the intro a bit more engaging, so I am glad to here you liked it. In the futue I might iterate on this idea a bit more to see where I can take it.

    Looked an awesome hike to me and very hermit friendly. Can't beat the sounds of water with the bird song. I like scrambling myself (well up anyway) and the views were super and well worth the effort. Best view was around 7:20 Enjoyed watching. What camera did you use for scramble section. Was that an Insta360?

    • @HikeForHappiness
      @HikeForHappiness  Před rokem

      Thanks Paul for the feedback and for watching. It is indeed very hermit friendly. Apart from the segment in the middle around the center of Switzerland, there is very little traffic. We only met a handful of people along the way.
      For the scrambling I used an Insta 360 X3 on a telescope pole within the backpack. I had to have my hands free, so these 360 are a good alternative, despite adding yet another 1.5kg to my backpack. It is often a bit problematic to get good exposure. In these harsh conditions in the mountains, the sky ended up incredibly overexposed and the mountain almost underexposed. We will have to experiment further for settings like these.

    Hi Mr. and Mrs. H4H
    Lovely music enhancing the beauty of nature on this hike
    creative transition, like switch over the hiking scene one to another by beat.
    Some part of hiking trail is wow, narrow sitting on the edge. 6:28
    Is this one of the cairns at the summit? 6:12Is this really a summit?
    Do you record it with 360 degree camera? 6:51, if so how did you mount it. OMG, scare to me death
    Parise to this stunning bird-eye view 7:14!
    Although, you appeared fewer parts in the film, I am certain that you are totally satisfied with your film.
    I am very proud of YOU. Love it. I cannot express with my words, but feel content watching this film while I am still coping with the loss of the family member.
    Sorry for belated comment.

    • @HikeForHappiness
      @HikeForHappiness  Před rokem +1

      Hi Ms.Kayak7seas. Thank you for the kind comment. The cairn is just along the path. You can find them a lot in Switzerland. We didn't get to any worthwhile summits on the tour.
      The scrambling section is indeed a 360 camera. It is mounted to the 3m selfie stick, although barely extended.
      The stick is fastened to the side of the backpack. Otherwise it would be too dangerous to film this kind of section ☺️.
      Might be I have to do a behind the scenes video once 😁
