Always wash jeans on cold no heat dry. That’s goes for most clothing you care about. Either that or cleaners🤷🏽♂️
Regarding the tailoring of those few pairs of jeans, at our place we lean more towards the old fashioned machine, chain stitch. Of course, most people also go to ordinary tailors for alterations, which is really nothing.

Drew, just wanna say I really appreciate these types of videos! So often you'll see content creators just go 'here's some clothes that I bought' and leave it at that. You rarely get to see the subtleties behind the process or the journey that went into the decision so all sense of the meaning behind it gets lost, and that's a very important and often overlooked aspect of style I think. There's always a story or some kind of anecdote behind your pieces, not that there always needs to be, but as someone who is trying to curate their own sense of style this is really helpful and sets your content apart. We even get to see that the journey doesn't always end after you've bought an item of clothing - there's always ways to make it fit you even better (both physically and in terms of your aesthetic) with things like tailoring. I loved when you talked about adding a few more belt loops to your jeans. Such a seemingly small detail that goes a long way to realising what you want out of an item of clothing. It's so great to see someone go out there and physically explore and curate their own sense of style whilst supporting local businesses as well!

About the denim. I think its telling when you have something you love in fashion that youd rather customise it instead of throwing it away (recycling i hope) or returning it. It forges a deeper connection to fashion and sustainability. 🔥

Yo you do what you want in your raw selvedge denim journey but I think some flaw in the fits makes something special in the fading process of the jeans and add a lots of characters of the end result 2:31 . For someone who makes this type of product I think it’s a plus in the aging process… maybe some flaws will become something you will like because it will take part of your process. Anyway really nice from you to put these products in the front of the scene I think they worth a lot more attention. Thank you for the beautiful content
It's so cool to see you find out about Perks and Mini. They're an Australian label thats been around since the 2000s, and I personally love their style, especially their more recent collections. I've had a few of their pieces over the years and they're always a pleasure to wear. They did a collab with puma recently and the puma x pam "nano" they came out with is one of my favourite shoes of the last while.
So cool seeing you walk by all the spots I frequent - hoping I bump into you some time!

Whenever I go to denver I have to stop into steadbrook. Last time I was high out my gourd and talking to the dudes there for like 2 hours, as a complete stranger lol. Unfortunately most of the things I was in love with were well out my price range, but I will continue going there just for the vibe.
I’ve been into Japanese fashion and denim for a long time and he did the mistake a lot of us do when first getting into it, don’t buy multiple pairs at the same time. You end up with a bunch of pants that are all basically the same. Also be mindful of how you want your jeans to become. Do you want heavy fading and whiskering? Or a more uniform dye across the fabric? Just don’t rush building your collection, it’s just going to keep your items as all being grails.

Sugar cane pre soaked their jeans ! So no shrink (maybe on the waist) How is yours doing ?
I have two jeans from them, no waist shrinkage. They might shrink a little bit in inseam though after the first few washes but looks like Drew had some margin there.
Haven’t washed yet, but I will give updates as I go. I’m going to wear them pretty extensively before washing
