Firstly I would like to say, well done to Shahrukh for carrying the whole episode on his back. He answered every question to the best of his ability and has a high level of general knowledge, pop culture, as well as history and literature. He knows how and when to use his unique style of humor to fizzle out any tension in the room.
However, for me personally, this episode was painful to watch because of the woman sat next to him, Katrina Kaif. She gives off the most toxic, cold and hostile energy. Instead of answering the questions together as a team, she was constantly putting SRK on the spot, doubting his choices, saying that she has a lot more trust in the “expert”, and so on.
At the start of the show, when Amitabh was acknowledging their achievements, he mentioned that SRK has a Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication, she looked at him with a snide look on her face, quietly laughing at him. However, when it came to Amitabh mentioning her achievements, there was nothing to mention because she has no accomplishments, or any talent for that matter. Truth is that she has the Indian audience in the palm of her hands because all they can see is her light skin, artificial smile, sexualised dance moves etc.
As the show progressed, SRK continued to answer each question, and the ones he was unsure of, he looked to Katrina for some support but all she did was just sit there with this blank expression on her face, totally clueless and silently judging him for his answers. I have never liked the woman anyway but I actually despise her when I see how she behaves with her costars, especially when it’s with someone as iconic as Mr. Shahrukh Khan.
This is a woman who has always relied on her looks to put her through but then also expects praise on her so-called acting talent. When someone does decide to compliment her, she gets pissed off when they only mention her looks. Her face instantly drops and she demands that they offer her a better compliment. She acts like this very often in interviews and press conferences. She acts as though her costars are the lucky ones to be in her presence and not vice versa. When a reporter asked her how lucky she is to kiss SRK in Jab Tak, she throws the question back in their face and says that actually SRK is the lucky one to have kissed her and not the other way around. She displays clear narcissistic traits and comes across as an ugly bully when she is in the company of her costars.
SRK is the tops - an amazing humanbeing.
