Hello. Are you the same folks who make the carving knives in Ukraine? If you are, I want to tell you they are as sharp as anything I've ever used, even at 7 times the price. I use the roughing blade for nearly everything. Easy to keep sharp too. The bandages in the box say it all. Very good blades.

I did the same. I already happily owned one basic Beavercraft Sloyd knife that I was using to carve custom fishing lures. Days after the invasion began, I bought the biggest Beavercraft kit I could afford, the S50X Deluxe Large Wood Carving Set with Walnut Handles. It comes with 9 tools in a handsome and durable leather case with shoulder strap. It is the centerpiece of my woodworking tools. In some remote fashion, I hope our purchases help and demonstrate our solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

I just purchased your bird kit. It comes with a knife that doesn’t seem to be sharp enough (plus my unskilled hand) for the wood blocks provided. I am using xactos n your gouging knives like in this video that seem to work better than the knife alone does.
However, the knife works better with my other basswoods.
Thanks for the video. It shows the details that the bird kit video doesn’t.
I would appreciate if the steps were vocally articulated together with the video n not to lose hope (and fingers).
    Thanks again.
