Now the Indian Agencies also should be more strict to make sure that the perticular person are really eligible to join onboard or not?
Or else it will negatively impact the career of the those genuine candidates who deserve this oppertunity.
Last year so many people are selected for royal carribbean and everyone got joining date all documentation completed ready for travel and end moment everyone get mail that they don't have vacancies in 2023 reapply in 2024. Everyone wasted 1 year. Money shortage, always jd extended, depressed in all this there is one hope that we will join one day but in last moment everything ruined.

Great that you have raised this issue which is going on, even i had applied on a cruise ship through one of the manager from the ship but i got a msg saying that they are not accepting applications anymore from India.

My interview was in September, and I was chosen. After that, my entire procedure was completed, and I received my visa as well as my medical, STCW, and SID clearances. The first day of work was April 15th, but due to some operational issues, they had to cancel my start date before I joined the ship. I have yet to receive an answer from RCL. I've received mail numerous times in which they inform me that the ship is not accepting new staff. Sir, should I apply for another cruise or should I wait for their response?
I have resigned my old job for this now im unemployed. Because of such people who are jumping they are not thinking of others. My family is fully dependent on my income source now what should I do i don't know 😢😢😢
And talking about people who are jumping company should sign some contract or agreement that if they jump or due such other things then company will take strict action against crew and file an complaint against them or they will fined them.

Well a few bad apples have destroyed the image of Indian workers on the cruise ships. Now all have to face the consequences. You have to look beyond the horizon and research and you may be surprised that some travel agencies in India have made this way by telling the people that they can do so to enter other countries. Some agencies in India are VERY CORRUPT.

People join cruise ships with documents and clear immigration and then when they reach airport they don't board a ship instead they run away in a nearby City for another land job thats called Jumping.
