You can put TWO balls in the back box and it really thumps fast and racks up points. Probably not designed for this but it does work. And $1 bell from Dollar Tree to put a real bell in the back box. Spring for the Color DMD - LED version. It is totally worth it.
Just unlocked it on the mobile, great fun but like you say the side show drains the flow, and trying to get the ball along those long ramps can be tiresome sometimes when u just want a quick multiball happening but the colours and lights are fantastic ( even on the mobile its a real treat to see )

Beautiful example of the CV pin fellas. I remember my backbox ball would still leave a ball print in the backglass and was a pain to clean. Still, I never got tired of bashing the ring master. SPOILER........it's really a girl! LOL Thanks for making these videos!
