Oh my god!! I've just received the two watches I ordered in the sale. A 'Hulk' and a 'Kermit' - £31 each! They are amazing!! Cyclops' are well aligned, crowns smooth to operate. Thanks for bringing these to my attention!!
You are so right, this watch is so comfortable on original steel bracelet! I don't think the finish on this watch is any worse than Pagani, I have both, and Addies is much more comfortable(I have smaler wrist) Lume is great, looks 5 x more expensive than it is and it's got that x factor you are talking about. I like your review, because this is 40$ watch, it's not all about specs, it's the feeling when you wear the watch that just needs to be right.
Thanks man, i think quartz is the most safe option in watches from Aliexpess and the price its just perfect.I wish San martin Cronos or Heimdallr release some Seiko homages with quartz too,cheers.
if enough people write to their customer service requesting quartz versions of the Seiko homages, they may produce some. I wonder if they could just swap the NH35 auto for a quartz movement on demand.
Nice review Dan. Had this watch a few months now, great for the price. Mine was around 32 quid - here in Thailand we don't get taxed for Ali purchases. I've also got the SteelDive Willard, these are going for around 63 quid now - absolute bargain. Excellent channel by the way - keep 'em coming.
Ordered one after you posted it on Instagram. Been looking for a base for mods and this is ideal given the price. Was on a flash sale about £5 cheaper when I ordered. Reckon it'll be on the summer sale too in a week or so.
I bought one recentlly....one of the best values watches of all time...My example had no bezel wobble and lined up perfectly....I got mine on sale as well....28 U.S. Dollars....Insane Value!...if you are thinking about purchase....Highly recommend...(P.S. Great review!!! Thanks!)
Just got mine and re-sized the bracelet - so far it seems great. The bezel's pretty stiff but not bothered by that. The only thing that bugged me was the bracelet was covered in plastic so tight it was wearing it like a second skin - took me far longer removing that than it did to re-size the bracelet lol.
You crack me up my dear friend..."uniformally misaligned" 🙂 All joking aside, this is one hell of a beater watch. With all of its little flaws I think it is a cracking watch to have while doing work around the house, running errands, etc. Great find Dan. Thank you for another great video mate 👍👏

Something endearing about a really cheap budget watch that while not perfect is still very good in many ways. I know you disliked it but I love my Benyar for that reason. Think I paid £25. I use it to work in,diy,gardening etc and it just keeps going and I love its look! Great video👍🏻
Maybe they should use the line "Cheaper than a Thai takeaway" in their advertising 😂. Enjoyable review, but I think my Amphibia was well worth the £12 extra.

Addies quartz with sapphire? Only saw a steeldive, but I may prefer the Addies' more flat, less sunburst dial than the Steeldive's

"..uniform misalignment if you know what I mean..." Hahahaha that made my day, quite witty remark. Addiesdive watches are far from perfect, but in their price range I rather consider them usually brilliant. Quality is great usually and attention to details surprisingly positive.
A good review of this watch. I own one since 1 year. It my go to watch whem im on the beach or on the water. Among my my watches this is one who get the most wrist time. I prefer quartz to mechanical. With quartz you only change time twice a year. I am very pleased with it.
Got it in sale for £25, just arriveded today. It's brilliant, my new daily driver.

Check out the Cronos 1000m diver on the hydraulic press channel. Didn’t stop working until 2700m,never took in water and it restarted working again after!

They have much improved over two years, although the strap remains the same. I paid the equivalent of 26 quid, and a further 8 quid for a strap.
I bought one of these for my son and found it more attractive in person than online. But despite the date being very legible, we can't find a spot with the stem that lets us set it!
Great review. It’s going for £20 in the June 2024 sale ridiculous price it’s becoming a joke i bought 6 watches 5 Pagani design and Addiesdive AD2040 for just £25 including tax. I will probably add this in few days £23 including tax😮
Looks cool as a beater on a strap but this last month I bought an amphibia and now I'm going to go for the Casio Duro, but I'll keep an eye on this one, I like submariner homages, no problem for me wearing it as long as they are not copies. Btw I would love to see you modding watches with those small Miyota quartz movements that tons of them have.

Nice review mate. I reckon the step between the end link and the lugs is present with real Submariners so they basically did it right! But what I don't like are the polished middle links, you said it yourself, they easily get scratched...

Its very likely since the case must be the same Addiesdive uses for the mechanical version with the great NH35
But for the price of the movement, watch and hands you'd just rather buy the steeldive automatic version of this

Hahahaha you're a Mad Man. A cool Watch! The Bracelet could be a bit smoother. The Secondshand could hit the Mark... and my Cyclops got a mini Scratch after 2 days...But Its a great WAtch!..
The Minutes Hand jumps a bit when I set the Time.
The Cyclops lines up and Magnifies. I have more Expensive Watches which Fail at the Cyclops Alignment.

Is rhe dial width 28'5mm? In that xcase will be easy finding a replacement. NIce watch for the money, perfect beater!
Yes this could be swapped out for another dial easily, just would need to snip off dial feet and stock movement to the dial

I understand your exuberance in finding a well-made, low price watch. However, I have a hard time getting over the name ADDIESDIVE. I think these manufacturers should take long than a second to think up these brand names, as it's going to affect sales.

Variety is great but I GREATLY appreciated you introducing me to Steeldive (got the Blancpain Bronze FF homage as well as the Captn. Willard) and as a result Addiesdive (I got their Tuna with the NH35).
Dissapointing that it isn't thinner, it should be with a battery inside. That thickness will affect comfort somewhat. The clasp/bracelet could easily be swapped for a better one too.

I do like these very much but the bracelets are too narrow, they are uncomfortable. This watch with a 21mm or even better, 22mm, would be just as comfortable as my Tudor Black Bay.

Hi Dan I had to press the button on this one in the Aliexpress 11/11 sale. The price was too ridiculous to say no. I’ve seen your watch straps on eBay and am tempted to buy one. Which one would you recommend if you want one that can stand getting wet every once in a while?
Hi, thanks for watching and checking my straps out. Any rubber or fabric strap is great for occasional wetness. Leather straps are generally not great for wet, but the odd slight sprinkle is ok!
Funny thing is, you still overpaid for this thing. :-P It dropped down to 35€ with coupons at times.
The Good: 200m (don't have a hydraulic press but it at least survived all of my submersion), ceramic bezel, full SS with a bracelet, actually good lume, Miyota 2115 is a reliable classic, mine also hits the markers but that will be different on every unit, good weight, neat dial
The Bad: Undersized hands, bezel has play in all directions, cyclops seems to be frequently misaligned (you've just been lucky here)
Btw. I'm pretty sure the bezel is 90 clicks?

As I watched this video, I looked down at the Casio Duro on my wrist and thought, "Nah, I'm good." And the Casio was significantly less at $44.49 (£31.81 according to Google).
Part of the reason I bought this was to see if it could be some kind of duro alternative in some way. And for some people it may be.
So do you think the Phylida kermit is worth the extra $$$? im stuck in limbo whether to get a phylida kermit and possibly something else (like a cadisen datejust), or just save some more and put it all into a san martin SN017.
I wish san martin made a kermit! The phylida was nice, just a lot more money than this one!

Never say divers if its not ISO rated.
I just got mine today, how long will this watch last?
Battery maybe a year or two, then need a new one. Other than that, it should last a very long time.
I'd definitely do a hydro mod,if the movement has enough torque.
Apparently you can get very very thin oil which doesn't affect the movement much.

Im not sure tbh, the spacer ring etc would need to allow a perfect fit or it would rattle about in the watch case.

Good question, steeldive is slightly better over all.
The wobbly bezel is definitely a deal-breaker. For just a few quid more you can buy an Invicta Pro Diver and it's almost identical with no wobbly bezel.
Invicta are pretty decent, I agree! But the lume on this for the money is quite excellent.
