Yes the price is high but after using this unit it is definitely worth it. Also compared to other units this one you only have to replace the filters every 1-2 years instead of every few months! This is the biggest pro of it and you failed to mention. So $85 every 1-2 years saves me as much in a year than it initially cost to buy it! It works better than many others that I have tried. My daughter is highly allergic to dust! I am on top of dusting weekly! I don’t have the dust problem I did before getting the rabbit air and she has improved incredibly!
I have one for 10 years with no issue. Run 24/7 for 10 years on medium.

I like this air purifier and have owned it for over a decade. Realize, the MinusA2 is an older Coway unit that has been rebadged for RabbitAir. The filters run about $75-100 to replace. The charcoal filter can easily saturate with moisture and produce an odd odor. You cannot buy the charcoal filter separately. The upside is tried and true design, and its robust. Again, I've owned the unit for 10 years. I've loaned it out to others for months at a time, and the unit still works as it did the day I purchased it. Personally, I would look at modern Coway units first, before rebuying this unit.
What units would you recommend for pollen and pet dander. I have 6 Shih Tzus and want to buy and affordable unit that will get the job done.
Can you make a review of the Dyson Pure + Humidifier?
I have not seen any units with this many filters, it would seem to me if your able to push out that much filtered air through that many filter the value would be greater, also to say a CON is " because you have to buy more filters" is kinda oxymoronic, I'm buying this unit specifically because it has the multiple filters unless you can qualify that the extra filters are useless, in which case that would require more then an anecdotal viewpoint. Not recommending it because an average buyer doesn't want to spend on extra filters, quieter, wall mounted, longer lasting brushless motor higher quality parts, wifi, High CFR output doesn't really make sense to me. if you could compare the unit with another model that is the closest and explain why having an extra filter doesn't matter, or the high CRF etc. sort of like you did with the charcoal which was very informative! That would be helpful, overall good review.
What would you recommend as a similar quality purifier but at a more reasonable price point ?
It depends on what your needs are. You can get similar filtration quality and airflow at a fraction of the cost with something like the Winix 5500-2 or Coway AP-1512HH.
If you need a smart air purifier, something like the Coway AirMega S series of air purifiers offer better value.
I find air filter units to be an eyesore & would love to dispense with them altogether . Unfortunately, the reality is I live in a city & have a need for a unit with the capabilities to filter a "larger" square footage. I've been in love with the look of this unit for a year but have been procrastinating the purchasing of a unit bc I find it difficult to justify the expense. I want to thank you for providing such a clear & honest review on the units capabilities in relation to cost. Sadly I'm of two minds, I'm happy to hear it's of good quality but think I may just keep looking. If you could point to any units that can cover a larger space (500+ sq feet) with the efficiency, build quality, & sleek look of the rabbit I'd be appreciative. I currently use a Honeywell 50250 Air Purifier (loud & hideous but efficiently shaped) & a Coway Mighty (looks like a giant old school iPod shuffle &
top light can't be turned off but inexpensive upkeep), & would love to replace the multiple units with one attrative effecient unit to cover the space. It seems incredibly difficult & my current Honewell unit will need of replacing relatively soon. I'll continue to look through your reviews & keep my fingers crossed. The best alternative I can think of is the Coway AirMega 400 or 400s. Another option is the Medify MA-40W although it's a little bit under powered for 500+ sq. ft. These are, unfortunately, the only alternatives I can think of that at least somewhat match what you're looking for.

What air purifier do you suggest for asthma suffers and allergies?
For your application I would recommend the same air purifiers I recommend in general - either the Winix 5500-2 or the Coway Mighty.

Would it be best to get a portable battery in which you could plug in a proper air purifier directly, or do you have car purifiers you'd recommend?

You complain so much about price that it detracts from your review and makes you sound like its your #1 value. We only need to hear price info once, not throughout the review. Also, there are other considerations: US company, quality, fit and finish you make no comment about how sturdy or shoddy it feels relative to your favorite, inexpensive $150 model. Also, to be fair, you don't discuss where the filter really shines: cleaning air with almost zero sound. Who cares what the DB is on full blast? Few will use it at that level in their personal work/play zone. This unit can deliver 150CFM at almost inaudible levels. Try that with your cheap $150 favorite and then let's talk. Did you mention they use advanced HEPA technology that removes 99% of particles at 0.1 microns? Do you favorite cheap filters do that? Reviews are most useful when they discuss real-world scenarios and how products are most often employed and what matters most in terms of features. Tens of thousands of American will happily pay $500 for a filter that produces extremely high quality air in utter silence. I know I will. I'm placing my order tonight.
Yea bro his view was extremely biased and self ignorant. He mentions the price entirely too much that it wasn’t even an “review” anymore. As if nobody on planet Earth has that much money and all living on rice and beans. I looked up the reviews on the so called “best product” he listed and they were very deterrent. It may have a good rating on Amazon, but if you go in the actual reviews itself, you will scratch your head and wonder how it’s even that high. This rabbit air is meant for quality and durability. If people want a much less expensive product then they can do just that, but as the old saying goes “you get what you pay for.”
What are ur thoughts on the air purifier since buying it?
@@sweetspicyvegan7307 I like it very much. It's autosense technology works well - when I cleaned a table nearby with alcohol, it actually 'smelled' the vapors and ramped up fan speed. The air seems very clean. I will admit that even with the odor control filter as the optional filter, it doesn't always do as well as I'd hoped in this area. I have an office where I see clients and sometimes they leave a 'mark' on the room from their BO or breath and the filter takes longer to rid the room of this than I'd like. I feel to really deal with this I'd need to invest in a certain filter I had considered, made here in America (Texas, I believe) that uses a ridiculous amount of activated carbon for just such problems (something like 10-20lbs, if memory serves!). I did not want a floor standing, large, noisy unit, so opted for this, instead. I think it's doing a great job on trapping dust and microscopic particles and definitely helps with odor, which I feel given my objectives of near silent operation and table top or wallmount placement, is probably the best I can hope for (a good mix of relative benefits - small/no footprint, low sound, reasonable impact on odors...) I hope that helps.
I would just buy 2 of the winix 5500-2 units instead of one of these rabbits. If the rabbit died I have no air purification, if one of the 2 winix units dies I still have 1 winix running and paid only 300.00 for the winix units instead of the 600.00 for the one rabbit. The customer for this is someone who buys Apple garbage. People with more money than brains.
