I remember the day I first heard a Volbeat song. I was sitting in my friends truck while he went in to the store to get a pack of smokes. Now because I really only listened to CD's in my car mostly because radio sucks I had never heard of Volbeat. When my friend came out of the store I asked him who sang the song "Heaven Nor Hell". He said "Volbeat" the next day I bought everyone of Volbeat's albums up til that point. I love the band and how they have so many styles incorporated in their music.

If memory serves Kessler actually USED this song for a ring enterance after it came out. He's also one of the voices chanting "FIGHT" during that part of the song.
This is what Volbeat is: straightforward, kick-ass ROCK. My favourite Volbeat songs are Lola Montez and Die to Live, but you can't go wrong with any of their material. Thanks for reacting to these guys! ❤

First time was decades back by now at that time I had no clue who they was, but I liked them, so it has been fun following their journey from the sidelines...

they do... but lead singer michael is fascinated with rockabilly and elvis. Thats why he sings the way he does... lol
P.s. If you like danish rock with wild west influence you should definetly check out D-A-D (Disneyland After Dark)!!!!!! -Especially their old work was VERY wild western. The band is 4 iconic guys. Two brothers Jesper and Jacob Binzer on vocals and lead guitar. Stiggy is the 2 string basist with alot of custom basse shaped like planes and bombs etc. and then they have a younger drummer who has jazz influences.
In denmark they are ROCK ROYALTY. -in the 90ies they tried to break through in usa and europa and had their fair share of plays on MTV. Thats when Disney contacted them with a seize and dessist because of the bandname so they changed it to D-A-D. LOL
They are still touring and releasing music. Have been for decades!!

Someone said that Volbeat sounds like if Elvis, Danzig, Metallica, and Johnny Cash had a gangbang with a willing groupie, Volbeat would have been the love child of that holiest of unholy unions. They are one of my favorite bands. pretty much everything is awesome. I am quite partial to Hallelujah Goat, though.

Je bedoelde Tommy Vext die Ivan heeft vervangen in 5FDP. Hij is nu solo omdat hij uit zijn eigen band is getrapt. Omdat hij een andere denkwijze over veel zaken had. Oftewel hijs rechts en die watjes in zijn oude band links. Denk niet graag in links/ rechts zie het meer als logisch en voor jezelf denken. Sorry dat ik in het Nederlands antwoord maar dat is wat makkelijker voor mij. Aangezien mijn Engels niet zo goed is. Dan ben ik weer beter in Duits. Groetjes uit Nederland.
