Just got a new one, April 2024. The protective guard is only a half guard, there IS a button to adjust the angle of the motor housing (side of where the black and red color join at top of telescopic shaft). It is auto feed, not manual. It came with two extra loaded spools, one extra spool head. Not sure why the differences in models in only 9 months time frame, maybe because I bought the trimmer alone, not with the blower. Thanks for this video. Happy to help. Oh yes, model designs change as they go. The great thing about these is that they are extremely light.
I have loved the leaf blower, especially for small areas I think it is a very useful tool
I'm gonna keep the blower in my truck. Really handy for the small areas like you say.

I'm slowly converting to roundup. Can't balance with a trimmer anymore so roundup it is. I can spray it from the lawn mower.
