I'm not sure about that, "what a time to be a Carlos fan" He has been my favorite driver for a long time now, and this upcoming season, is the one i am most scared of. Ferrari have developed the car around Charles, and since they have complete opposite driving styles, i feel like Carlos will strugle in 2024. Only time will tell.

I come back to this video after Carlos win in Singapore 2023, with great Carlando defense from Mercedes in the end, and after celebration, where Lando, Zak and half of McLaren team congrats Carlos right after finish. I immediately remembered this video, such things are priceless
Seeing the amount of hate he is getting from certain so called "tifosi" just because he doesn't sacrifice his races to let Charles win makes this really sad, I think he is a great driver and the perfect teamate for Leclerc, and that's why the team and the true tifosi will always love him ❤️
You are absolutely right, the real Tifosi will always love him since he's done an exceptional job last year and this year also, even going against the pitwall idiotic ideas and don't worry, those complaining assholes are not "tifosi", those are just football fans that being Italian jump to support Ferrari just because they heard at the news that Ferrari won and then, at the next race where Ferrari inevitably fucks up, we are talking about Ferrari after all, start complaining and point their fingers at everybody in sight. I know what it means to be a genuine Italian Tifoso, and we can say nothing to our drivers and our team at the factory, developing the car, because they have done an exceptional job this year. We have to say though, that the drivers have made some mistakes, bet they are only humans and i think that they are allowed to make some. Obviously it's not ideal, when your competitor is a certain Max Verstappen, which is proving himself to be the next top generation talent, like we had a lot in the past, and even after many years after their retirement, their names are still engraved on every real F1 fan mind. But what is *VERY* wrong with the team this year are the management, starting from the CEO Elkann and Binotto, which in my opinion has done both great and awful this year, and then the pitwall, with the race engineers and strategists and so on.

I basically only know f1 racing from watching netflix, but it piqued my interest enough to watch my first grande prix on sunday... I knew as I watched the netflix series that what they portrayed was an extreme and dramatized version of what was really going on, but Netflix taught me enough about the teams and racers that I'm now interested, and hopefully will continue to be a fan, so it's not all bad despite what the hardcore f1 fans know.

They didn't treat Vettel bad. The final season was pretty bad for both Ferrari and Vettel and that lead to them looking very bad. But just not resigning a contract is something they can do, they didn't even cancel his ongoing contract like Racing Point did with Checo. And all the years pre Leclerc he was treated like a king as number 1 driver, which makes sense, because he was the best driver they had at that time.

I’ve never seen this done by a team, it shows how critical Carlos was to the team. And how much they valued his drive and friendship.
It was symbiotic. McLaren wouldn't have gotter where it is now without Carlos, and Carlos wouldn't have gotten the Ferrari drive without what McLaren did for him.

Yes Seb is not very adaptable. If Ferrari knew he's not mentally adept, then they should've supported him more rather than blame him further. I still believe both are at fault.
Ferrari lost Ferrari two championships with Seb and two with Fernando. They haven't won a drivers championship since 2007 and constructors since 2008. They have had multiple chances all with Championship drivers. It's not a driver issue. It's the toxic environment and ego from upper management that have made Ferrari a losing culture.

No, obviously. It’s not the piano, it’s the message itself. Of course every team makes a big deal of a driver leaving their team, but McLaren’s handled it in a way I’ve never seen it be handled. They ask the driver’s new team to take good care of him, like having to give away a dog that you grew up with. McLaren’s Italian may not be perfect, nor their team members. But they want to really go the full way with the message. They really want them to take great care of Carlos.
