Update: went to Target literally after watching the video and found four of them lil things. Now I have one and I'm so glad! They were not in the Neca section but at a separate section with other FTThirteen figures. Idk why but that is probly why I never saw them. So scan your Target in the electronic's section both in the Neca section and elsewhere if you're looking for it.
That's awesome! He's a good figure. Neca still hasn't received THEIR shipment yet... First time ever finding stuff actually AT Target vs online from Neca.
Yeah, Target's website says 1 store has this figure, and that store sure does not. The website says no other stores have him, but they do...right now! Because Neca is a 3rd party vendor, their inventory isn't kept the same way and is not accurate.
I got mine in the electronics section of Walmart. They also has a rhino alien...odd looking.

Ultimate edition primarily refers to the new 30 point articulation they are giving to all new characters and re releases. They also come with the better accessories but Ultimate is mainly about the improved articulation compared to previous sculpts.
Yes...Ultimate refers to enhanced articulation and accessories. When the Big Chap gets released w/o the accessories in series 3 of the 40th anniversary sets, he won't be considered Ultimate.
I bought this today as it released on their eBay store last night I believe. Big hype because I've been wanting an updated Big Chap for a while

Has anyone else noticed that at 11:07 he refers to the proto-burster as the deacan?

Yes, the link you posted does show a deacan, but the mini, fully formed xeno chestburster from covenant is not a deacan.
EDIT:
Sorry I did not realize “Proto-burster” was another name for the deacan. What I meant by “proto-burster” is the baby protomorph from covenant, which is shown at the time stamp and is not a deacan.

Mines on the way as I write this. Excited for it. A little disappointed that the front of the dome is so heavily blacked out. I was really looking forward to seeing the skull underneath. Like as it’s shown on the box!
Mild complaint though. This is a beautiful big chap with beautiful accessories.
Where is yours coming from? The dome is somewhat black, but you can definitely see the skull through it.

Looks like it's set to ship soon. Neca posted a update on their calender. I'm gonna wait till BBTS ships mine out. Not gonna drive 2 hours to the closest Target since my State is under a stay at home order and I'm trying to limit trips, till this blows over
I have probably 6 Targets within 30 minutes of me. At least 10 within 1 hour. I assume Neca posted it on their calendar because they are finally getting theirs, which means BBTS should be very far behind.

The big chap that predated series one, was that the 2008 release??? I think they did a warrior alien back then too. They came in the classic slim plastic packaging that the NECA Godzilla's came in. Use to have them:/ they came a bit after the cult classics lines

It's not a 3 pack, but 3 exclusive single releases. I'm looking forward to the Bloody Big Chap. REALLY hoping for an updated Loomis from Neca.

They might have updated the figure, but I see that NECA still uses the same head sculpt from the previous release. Instead of making it more accurate, they decided to use the head that has a goofy looking mouth and a goiter problem in the area between the chin and the neck. I hope they will remedy that in their next release.
I don’t have too much of an issue with the head, yes it is pretty much exactly the same as the last release only painted slightly differently. They sure advertised this thing like it was going to be all new parts, but it seems like 75% of it was reuse.

After many attempts to find one at Target I decided to give up. Then yesterday I went to wal-mart to buy a headset in the electronics section. They have a toy section and would you not believe it!!! There it was I bought it asap
That’s awesome, I have been hearing reports of people finding the big chap, rhino, and Drake at Walmart. I’m happy Neca is selling to Walmart and target, should be some really good sales for them.
Friendly small advice: maybe the intro was too long or 4 minutes of the story how did you buy it. We want to see the review. Ps. I already bought one. I hope is comming tomorrow =)
Point taken. When the figure was new and hard to find the story was more relevant.

It looks great. Can't say the dome is entirely accurate compared to Necas 2013 release. Regardless it's still a overall a great step up compared to Necas 2009 Giger Alien.
Yeah, maybe have a couple inaccuracies, but looks great!
Gotta say the Giger Alien looks way less ‘toy’ and much more like the film texture Xeno, especially towards end of film. Details really pop on Giger’s too. Tbh they’re physically pretty indistinguishable. Horses for courses I suppose as we say in England!

Its a shame because most have unfinished paint jobs or really floppy limbs the blue kenner is getting a paint job . There mostly the same figure
Mostly, but a couple sculpt/ articulation upgrades. I thought the paint jobs on mine were pretty good. I would compare it more to the original Big Chap vs the Blue Kenner Big Chap, they x are the exact same sculpt.
I've never seen the movie, probably never will. But they look good!

You HAVE to watch this. Aliens (the 2nd one) is my favorite movie ever hands down. Both 1 and 2 are 9 out of 10.

Man it’s like one of the best if not the most major Science Fiction movie. It’s a masterpiece you really should check it out

I hate transparent domes. Everytime they make a transparent dome there is always some paint splash inside the dome or glue spots you can very clearly see. It's like that on everyone I see in the store.
These would be no exception...
Saw this guy @ Walmart a day or so ago & the dome is way too dark in the front portion such that you can't see the front of the skull with the eye sockets really at all which is a major disappointment and a big miss by NECA imo. I prefer the dome look as on the recent Mafex & Figma Big Chap issues much more since the front of the skull with the eye sockets can be seen through the dome and really adds to the creepiness look of the Alien. Uncertain how NECA (with all the Alien figs. they've issued over the years) somehow concluded otherwise. The accessories are all nice improvements over prior comparable issues but the Alien with that dome is a big disappointment imo. As a result, elected to pass on this guy & wait for it to hopefully go on sale down the road to get the cool accessories. Thanks for all the great comparables in the review.

The Mafex and Figma LOOK good, but are SO small. I like this figure but your complaints are valid. Done is transparent, but not transparent enough?
@@dHuntersReviews Yeah the Mafex & Figma have their own issues (as you flagged in your reviews of each) but at least they got the dome right in terms of being transparent enough to view the underlying front portion of the skull & eye sockets underneath. Hard to fathom how NECA somehow misses that on a 40th Anniv. Ultimate Big Chap (Sigh....).
Have you seen Neca’s first Big Chap? Before the series 1 figure? It has a very creepy transparent front dome where you can see the eyesockets and skull, it is very creepy

@@dHuntersReviews I checked out a few reviews of the NECA 1/4 scale 40th Anniversary Big Chap (recent issue) & the dome on that issue looks about perfect imo. Unfortunately the 9" version received a much less transparent dome than the 1/4 scale. That 1/4 scale issue also has the retro designed box (comparable to the 79 Kenner issue) which is very cool too imo. Are you getting (or may already have) the 1/4 scale fig. to review?

@@dHuntersReviews Yeah, generally they put NECA stuff in the electronics section. At least that's how most Walmarts I've been to do it. I only saw one of it so I snagged. I've always wanted the original Xenomorph. Alien is one of my all time favorite movies.

Now that’s an interesting idea. The Gorilla Alien is the only one I can think of that does that.
What a shame.. this figure bis a step back.. they screwed up the most iconic and important part in this figure. The dome....it doesn't even look like the dome in the art box..
I actually like the dome head on this one because it's different than the original release, now I have both looks! lol

I did not have that problem, mine is loose, but nothing broken after many, many years.
