These guys are incredible. Such a great sound. I hope they stay true to it and don't sell out to some vile record producer who turns them into some kind of over produced franken-band like "Imagine Dragons". I think if they keep working, eventually music fans will come around to them and other bands can follow in their footsteps. I hope so. I grew up in the 80's and it was the last decade of real music before the record producers took over with their computer rigs and started pumping out hundreds of versions of the same pop hooks saturated in digital goo.
Yes, I haven't heard anything like this since the fresh sounds of the 80's. I've been calling it Modern Retro. You hear the influences, but they make it their own. And thank you, Wes, for making it look cool to spiff it up again. Lovin' the nød to Elvis with that great hair. Love Devin's hair, too. ❤
