I remember my team strat back in the day was fast heroic with Ra and then Shifting sands some scarabs, vils and pharaoh to enemy TC to take it down fast. Then after destroying it instantly put up your own and Ally uses ceasefire. Then when it's done use citadel on it.
You cant cast another power during certain powers like eclipse, rain etc. but you can trick them because many eggy players go anc + eclipse as soon as they hit heroic. And they first have to cast ancestors because its not a blocking gp. At the same time you cast cf and neutralize the push, but you will need good reflexes for that.
There are a number of games that use a cease fire power mechanic. LOTR BFME is one I can think of. Preventing your opponent from attacking for a short time is super powerful. Even Starcraft and Diablo have skills that do more-or-less the same thing.

My favorite is play Poseidon, ceasefire and place 8 stables around their tc for the luls, disrupt their base and free militia and vision

I know you can cast ancestors and then eclipse to get a power spike. I didn't know you could cast ceasefire when the eclipse was in play 😮

dude focus on your economy maybe? or use that time to safely gather your troops in a strategic point like rams or any siege near a tc, fortress, etc

How come that you cannot build defensive buildings but you can train troops? That doesn't really makes much sense
