With myself being just an average amateur, and having not really got into pace strategy, nutrition etc, I still found this to be a compelling and facinating video to watch. My best averge was 18.3mph over 101 miles with 3,379ft on a sportive. But I was more than happy with that at 68 years old, which was in 2018. I am picking up tips which may work for me going forward, but not really looking for ground breaking improvements at my age, just making every ride that little bit more enjoyable. Thanks Ed, keep em coming.👍

Thanks for the analysis Ed. Set a new pb this week during a TT.

Thanks, really interesting analysis! I'm roughly twice your age and half your power 🙂 but I can see by looking at my figures, I was too conservative and I need to eat more. Look forward to your nutrition video!

Next challenge. Can you do 42 beers in 9 hours? Can you consume them quicker than you can burn them off.

Ed you have to ride the Ötztaler! 227k 5500m with way faster rider
6:45-7:15 is the winning time depending on the weather

I'm curious, how does this analysis compare with the Istria 300?
Similar distance & height gain, so similar strategy?

Difficult to say as I didn't manage to complete the Istria300!
