Guru Ji played this solo in opening ceremony of 'Talayan'.
Releasing this video today on his centenary birthday (Tithi,Krishna janmashtami)celebration,which Talayan celebrated€ every month and whole year from 3rd Sept, 2022 to 3rd Sept, 2023.

As good as Thirakwaji was there is never any greatest, there was many better players in different boles and gharana. Amir Hussain, Pandit Anokhelal, Samta Prasad, Ustad Allahrakhaakhan, Ustad Shaukahthusaain laggi ustad Nizamuddinkhan ….. and Pandit KishanMaharaj himself was among great. Very few people can come with complex boles and timings like Panditji. Not everything is speed.
I can't really agree with you. While there have been many stalwarts in the field, nobody has matched the innovativeness, skillful use of Bayan and the speed at which Ustaad Habibuddin khan could play on the tabla. Unfortunately very few of his recordings are available, but whatever are available, they do reveal some of these qualities.
