THANK YOU!!! Fantastic video that helps get some clear details on the framework. Deserves thousands of likes.
You're absolutely welcome!
WOW WOW WOW!! Awesome comparison of different six sigma certifications! Thanks a lot :)
Thanks so much Omid!!!
Thank you for posting this video!. Just to clarify, you go through what the ASQ Six Sigma certification differences are. What about Lean Six Sigma? I'm looking for the one with more of a business focus which I think would be LSS. ASQ only offers SS but IASSC offer LLS. What are your thoughts on getting one over the other one? SS/LLS and ASQ/IASCC. Thanks,
Great question!!
Okay, so the ASQ certification can (and should) also be described as a LSS certification. If you look at the ASQ body of knowledge (BoK) it includes many (if not all) of the critical lean concepts that continuous improvement professionals need to know.
Also, if you compare the IASSC body of knowledge (BoK) it's nearly identical to the ASQ BoK and they contain the same lean concepts within them.
So, they can both be described as a LSS certification. Hopefully that makes sense!
Hi Andy, great video on breaking down the differences. I have a question: I do have enough experience to sit for the green belt but I plan to take the black belt down the line as well. Is it possible to use the black belt study materials to prepare for the green belt exam just to save some costs?
Hey Geon!!
Yes, if you get a blackbelt resource, that will absolutely be sufficient to cover the green belt exam.
Great videos! The question I've had, you've had clear, concise answers to!
I'm deciding between yellow or green belt certification (depending on my personal circumstances). I'm considering purchasing the asq handbooks. If I get the green belt handbook, is it really necessary to also get the yellow since the BoK overlaps? Just wondering if I'd be missing anything if I got the green belt book but took the yellow belt exam.
I'm glad you enjoyed that video. You'd be totally fine just getting the green belt book and using it on the YB Exam if you wanted to go with YB first.
would it be worth getting yellow belt as supply chain student in university? (to increase my chance of getting hired)
I want to do green belt, as I know much of information being tested, but I do not meet the required eligibility for green belt test.
@@wonyounglee3450 That makes perfect sense, and to be honest I think it shows that you've taken initiative towards your career development so I could see potential future employers looking at it favorably.
