i heard she died to a minion so came to check it out but that was better than i expected. she got betrayed and returned the favor, then after seeing Braham decided to leave the rest to him so she faced her death with bravery. Obi-wan Style mix with Ned Style (betrayed and starved yet willing to accept death) still a daring choice. Eir was a cosplay icon. now probably only Caithe remains. who the F cares about Braham though why would they bother to develop him lol.

For Braham, specifically, his full name is ''Braham Eirsson'', or, you know, ''Braham, son of Eir''. That's how their naming work! I specifically made sure MY Norn characters had that naming style as well.
check gw2 wiki page for norn and see below the naming section,what you see as last name was actually a "nickname" or so just like his father had...the sun chaser

Becouse of that this two characters died. In my opinion, till now, is the crueldest death of GW2 (just now i'm completing magooma and little bit of path of fire)
That's it then, an utterly contrived character-assassinating death for a figure that was narratively abandoned out of disinterest long before this and whom the writers only deemed good enough to be stuffed in the fridge for an even greater disappointment of a character, i.e. Braham. That is the fate of Eir Stegalkin, a great concept reduced to a disposable decoration for this game through sheer neglect and incompetence. Hell they couldn't even be bothered to make sure that everyone gets to really know this character before throwing her away, not just the Norn players. Congratulations Anet, it's not just this, but it's a big part of why you are among the most disappointing writers in video games.

Theres good and bad deaths in story telling, usually the good deaths being ones that actually SIGNIFICANTLY drive the story and other characters with the gains of the death out weighting the gains of that character living (one piece and game of thrones spoilers *** ------ ace and white beards deaths drive the whole one piece world post marineford creating a power vacuum and restructuring the whole power system of that world ***----- ned starks death changes westoros into a north vs south war that lasts most of the story and drives all the starks storylines for the rest of the story) What did Eirs death actually bring other than 20 seconds of shock value? Literally nothing worth mentioning. This was such a waste of a character.
When Faolain says towards the end "I sure hope I wasn't a thorn in her side," to Braham I did not hold back. I freaking murdered Faolain for that.
