I commented earlier, after watching this video which made me buy it, I've just watched it again as I find instruction books a little difficult, by the end of the video I had learnt everything about it without looking at the instructions, very well explained.
The debris are going straight up to the upper filter instead of going down. Why is it that?
I have had mine or 18 months and it has lost loads of suction- at frist it was brilliant, but now the airflow is not cycling correctly and so the debris is going straight up into the turquoise separation unit and blocking the engine filter straight away. Your review has helped me find the exhaust filter which I didn't know about and so I've cleaned that as well as the pre-engine filter so we'll see if it works again once they're dry!

Thanks for such a comprehensive review, very clear what needs to be done to maintain the cleaner. I have just bought it and I agree with you, it is an efficient hoover, relatively light weight and ideal for someone elderly or who has difficulties lifting heavy things

I bought a cordless Vax few years back and was initially impressed with the performance, it picks up all the fluff and pet hair but the gritty bits do not get sucked into the chamber and when I switch it off or lift it up all the grit just drops out of the tube. Looking for a corded replacement as perhaps the battery models do not have adequate suction power.

Thank you for your excellent review of the Hoover H 300 upright. If I left vacuum at bottom of my 13 stairs would you think that the hose and wand combined would reach to the top stair. Please advise in due course. Many thanks Clive.

I have this same Hoover and purchased 2 years ago. Today the white latch that clicks into the hole (from the hose at the bottom) become loose and no longer is latching properly. Have you run into this defect? I've never used it in an irresponsible way so this is definitely the fault of cheap manufacturing and very frustrating as Hoover vacuum cleaners used to last a lifetime. My aunt still uses hers from the early 70's and it is so well made and works so well.

It helped me deciding that this was the Hoover for me, its a Very Good Hoover.... Lightweight, Good Suction, Easy to Clean Etc. I've always had Hoover, & Love the Brand (only snag, the hose was very short)

Great video. Very clear to watch and understand, My worry is how much actual dirt does it pick up? Easy to see large bits but does it clean deep down? Thank you
It works fine for us, it depends on what carpets you have, it's difficult to say sorry.

I saw several comment that main part is falling which is annoying. Is that true?
Ours is still fine however we don’t use it everyday.
That was very informative thankyou, took delivery this morning and there was no "Instructions Manual" in box. When using the hose attatchment is it normal for the "hole" to remain uncovered? My last hoover had a cover, when the hose was in use.
