    Great video. As the other posters say - Very well presented. I just got one of the behringer cp mixer clones. I'm looking forward to running it into an oscilloscope to see if the results are similar

      @switchedonnashville It does sound good doesnt it!
      I had a look through a scope in VCVrack and the results looked very similar.
      By feedback do you mean routing one of the mixer outputs back to an inputs. I haven't tried that yet!😊

    Back when the original Moog Modular Systems were first built, decent quality Op Amp ICs for use in audio circuits weren't readily available, so Robert Moog had to make do with using discrete Transistors to build the Moog CP 3 Mixer modules.

    Wow I really appreciate this video. I can't wait to get a scope for my rack; can learn so much from it. I am curious, can this STG Soundlabs MIX CP3 module of your's work well with the Behringer 921 line of oscillators and the Behrigner 904A? I like it better than the larger Behringer CP3A. Just wondering about the voltage differences between the Behringer/Moog and Eurorack. The 921 line of modules output around 2.5V for audio signal and the B CP3A outputs 5V max. Wondering if I could use your STG SoundLabs MIX for both the 2.5V/5V operation as well as the 10V in , 10V of euro rack.

      Thanks for the technical details about the Behringer oscillators - that's very low compared to standard Eurorack levels (I guess they were trying to go for the traditional Moog levels of back in the day...but if you're going to make a Eurorack module, I would have thought they updated the levels to match). Since that level is lower than what a standard Eurorack module like the STG CP3-style mixer would expect, it will "work" just fine - but you won't get the single-sided clipping effect. What I would do is get a utility mixer that can also boost the level (the Frap Tools 321 is a personal favorite; others like the Verbos Scan & Pan can increase the level even more) to be able to drive the rest of your Eurorack modules properly, and also to get the proper clipping effect out of the STG module. The exception would be if you're running a Behringer Moog clone only system - then stick with the Behringer version of the CP3 mixer, as its level should be optimized to work with the rest of the modules in that line.
