Rock climbing in the Blue Mountains. Modern / Classic #2 // Pit Boss

- The Pit is a relatively new addition to the Blue Mountains sport climbing scene. Hidden away in a steep gully, its difficult access meant it was undeveloped until local climbers worked out a suitable approach… Abseil in / via ferrata out.
Today it has one of the largest concentrations of steep rock climbing in the Blue Mountains, ranging from grade 25 through to grade 30…with a couple of harder lines as well.
Pit Boss, the most recent addition to the crag, blasts out the steep roof through a series of foot free campus moves.
Big holds. Big moves. Big fun!
Get on it!!

Awesome route, the belaying at 1:35 actually left me speechless..
Belaying seemed just fine!
It looks like he's let go of the brake strand of the rope and is holding the device instead. Unless my eyes are playing tricks. @@HatoriHanzo1
@@stevewillson9218 hey sorry i thought you are referring to how much slack the belayer is giving.
I have to admit that its hard to say about how he is holding the device. You may be right!
I had though some very good belayers that were using the grigri in a bit different way than the 'recommended' one by petzl. Not sure about this one! You may be spot on!
Yeah with the grigri you can thumb over the left to hold the cam down to pay out a lot of slack fast. His brake hand is so close to the grigi it looks like he’s not holding the rope but it’s still through his palm. It’s hard to explain but as above mentioned I’m pretty sure it’s not the offical way it’s still safe
Such a great channel! Deserves way more subs! Thank you for the awesome material :)
Thanks Dimitris, appreciate the support!
