- A game in which everyone can fully realize the potential of both tactical gameplay with stealth elements, and cooperative squad play in any style: whether it's a stealthy sweep or open combat with the enemy. Yes, I am once again talking about Ghost Recon BREAKPOINT. A game that has been mercilessly and in places absolutely justifiably criticized. But...
Breakpoint even now, in 2024, gives the player something that many other shooters can't. And this is: beautiful open world, full freedom of action, huge possibilities of customization, a variety of weapons, tactical stealth, cooperative play, multiplayer and much more. But unfortunately because of the negative and biased attitude to this game after the failed launch, many people began to forget how good it is. And it really is. After the incredible success of Ghost Recon Wildlands, many people expected much more from Breakpoint, but they didn't get exactly what they wanted to see in the new game. Although, I can absolutely say that in many gameplay and graphical aspects, this game took a big step forward.
I in turn am not encouraging you to like this game or agree with me. My goal is merely to show you how good this game can be in different gameplay environments, be it day or night, single player stealth or a cooperative mission to sweep a facility and rescue a hostage. I just love it and I'm sharing with you how addictive it can be.

Yes, there was a lot that was flawed here: both the plot and the empty open world without a full sense of life in it. But with all that said, this game is truly amazing in many ways.

Best first person shooter for sure...love Breakpoint and started playing GR in 2001, when the first one came out. Played Rogue Spear in 1999. Good times and this rendition is THE best imo.

My GF and I . Yes I said my gf, she loves the game.(found a diamond in the rough with her.).we spent the last 6 months going through Wildlands and Breakpoint...I played both when they first came out and went back through them both with her in co-op. Over 180hrs of game play on each....now we are just going through all the side missions and faction missioms...I hope UBI brings back quality open world games like this or a new gr (open world).

See, I record all of my gameplay using the NVIDIA GeForce Experience program. And then I edit it in Adobe Premiere Pro. All the additional visual elements are created in Adobe After Effects!

I'm playing for a 5th time! A few things I wish could have been added. A flight suit, and heat seeking missiles actually several different bazookas. I am definitely appreciative of what was given to us. Graphics are AMAZING!

this just makes me want them to remake the splinter cell games and maybe I'm in the minority but to me conviction was one of my all time favorite third person stealth games ever. if that got remade with the exact same story and voice work but with next gen graphics and expanded gameplay and maybe extra missions I'd definitely pay full price for that. maybe you can do a video on that one day? BTW loved breakpoint but my favorite ghost recon are still the advanced warfighter games, even future soldier was exceptional.

If this game had more door interaction , there would be no need for another shooter. Ever. We should have to recon and clear base and then recon and clear out the inside in the next game. Enemies hold down the inside , move around objectives, should shoot from windows and take hostages during some missions when we go loud. It'll add twice the suspense to all missions. They got the open world exploration down. Now keep that and work on the Close quarter combat. Ghost Recon : Danger Close.

Still own it and still play it. I'll tell you this, if or when they bring out Breakpoint 2, they should have a freemode room, especially in a Golem Island atmosphere. People were clamoring for it in Breakpoint.

There is nothing even remotely comparable to the experience of the Wildlands and the (patched and fixed) Breakpoint games, and yet Ubisoft is talking about making the next game 1st person only. Go figure. They do not seem to understand what the fans of these games want.
All they really need to do for the next game is improve the AI, add a tougher difficulty option for those soloists like me, perhaps up the realism somewhat, and give us a cool, lived in, new open world.

Really if they added more battles than 3 randoms in the "wild" I wouldn't complain about anything with this game.
There is a Spartan mod for it on PC that has it dialed in right. You can get bent real quick and swarmed anywhere. That should be a mode in the vanilla game. "Get BENT mode"
This game is great. The issue with it is that it is repetitive and empty. Also, the RPG mechanics where an absolute abhorrent idea and whoever had it should be fired without severance.
The gunplay, the areas, the vehicles, and the feel of the game were pristine for this kind of tactical infiltration game. It fixed the issues Wildlands had with physics and character movements/animations, but it failed to improve on the other areas and even regressed on some.
Hopefully for the next one they'll add more variety and would make use of the gadgets better. If anything the industry has shown lately is that we gamers love when a game gives us different ways to traverse the map, climbing ropes, building bridges, ladders, that kinda stuff really makes a game feel more like a playground than a series of dots to clear.

I can't believe how far Ubi has fallen. This is most def. a game to never forget. I hope Ubi can get it together and go back to their roots and produce great quality games like this.
The original Socom was simply the best ever. When you died you had to start the entire mission over. I mean I would lay in a mountain of grass for an hour afraid to move.

Golem isle is one of the most beautifully designed and atmospheric areas in any game I've ever seen.
The research facility gives vibes from the first doom, the volcano gives lord of the rings vibes, the inspiration for the atmosphere is evident.
