@@lynnly2406 you will. I was so introverted that once I couldn't even really talk to people clearly about my opinions. Now in college I clearly told my professor that I deserved my photography head cirtificate and if not then all the photographs on the department borad should be taken off, which was clearly taken by me. Loll. My professor was literally staring at me and I stared right back.

True. I just signed up for a 2 hr lecture class a while ago but wasnt that satisfied. The price i paid for it is twice as my daily wage. It's costly for me. But i just think positive with the cosultation i can get even after that talk.
The five pillars:
1. Self-reflect (ask yourself basic questions: what's your business, what will it look like in 5 years, why did you start this)
2. Manage your mind (plan ahead, create your rules and stick to them, build your willpower)
3. Invest in yourself (therapy, exercise, absorb soul-fulfilling material)
4. Be uncomfortable (delegate)
5. Be empathetic and gentle (treat yourself like someone you care about)
- Be the boss of your own life!
Thank you Jenn! I'm not in a boss position in work life, but in my own life I can definetly take the pillars to heart. These five things are so important to remember, to spend time on, to understand, to have a fulfilling life. LETS DO THIS EVERYONE!

5 pillars:
1.) self-reflect: what's your business? what will it look like in 5 years? why did you start this?
2.) manage your mind: planning ahead is good for preventing decision fatigue. make rules/guidelines for yourself and stick to them. the more you ditch your plans, the easier it is to do.
fun activity: set a timer for 20 minutes, no matter what you must focus on the task at hand. even if the task is unfinished, at least you know how long that task will take in future.
will power = muscle. must be used consistently.
3.) invest in yourself: you are your most valuable asset. example: therapy, physical exercise, absorb soul fulfilling material (e.g. reading, podcasts)
4.) be uncomfortable: confront your fears (e.g. public speaking, leading interviews)
delegating - relinquish control
5.) be gentle and empathetic of yourself. tell yourself you're doing a good job!
Jenn, I cried watching half of this. I am a 26 year old manager, I have been a manager for almost 3 years, of about 50 people.. and not once have I felt good enough to be a manager, nor have I felt comfortable as one. But I have been taking each position being offered to me in my life because my own bosses have pushed and encouraged me and have wanted me to be in charge of more and more. So I feel like in a way, I am not in control of my life, and if I was and only went off of my emotions, I would have never been a manager. But now, I feel like I'm always waiting for someone else to tell me I can do something, even though I'm constantly wanting to try new projects and take new positions on my own. I feel like I am in no way the boss of my own life.
This really encouraged me to start taking better care of my health mentally and physically, and start focusing on what I want from my own life, not what others want me to do or say I can do.
I've been wanting to make youtube videos lately because I don't want to go to therapy about it. I want to make videos on how to be a good manager even though you have a quiet personality, or even when you are hard on yourself. But I feel like no one would watch them. lol. But I want to try. And you made me want to try even more.
So thank you so much for this, you did an incredible job. I was blown away. You encourage me to not be afraid of public speaking too. Keep doing you, you have my full support along with so many others.

I would watch your videos! I never thought I could be a good manager because I'm very introverted, so I resisted even though my career kept moving in that direction. I decided to step back and take a gap year to figure out what I want to do going forward. If I do eventually go back to my former industry, I feel like your videos would be very helpful.
I would watch them. Im in school for Business and its funny because im actually a really nervous person and Ive oicked a career where ill probablyhave to do public speaking. It would be nice to get tips from someone whose experienced it first hand. Ps. I subscribed to your channel.

"Treat yourself someone you care about" really resonates with me I always try to love myself and be proud of myself but it's always so hard because I don't feel it is good enough and I deserve to feel that way, but from now on I will keep that in mind all the time. At first I thought this video was mostly about being a boss in business but as I watch on, it’s really about being your OWN boss. Living your life the best & easiest way. As a young adult/student, I find your tips very helpful either way! Managing my time, stress and making my willpower stronger etc.
