Ukwuani is literally recognized as an official independent tribe of Nigeria, only tribe to have that designation in that region and our official language Ukwani/Aboh/Ndoni is named after the three dialects it’s not only recognized as one of the 323 languages in Nigeria but internationally with its own code - ukw 639-3
      Lastly, ANIOMA is NOT an ethnicity but a group of people with different languages and cultures, ANIOMA is an acronym of local government, formed for political expediency just like ECOWAS but it didn’t work out, it’s extremely RARE for an Ukwani person to say they’re “Anioma” because it isn’t a thing, it’s just like saying I am ECOWAS.

    So much fun dancing to this. Nigerians are on top because behind all the modern instrumentation is the authentic traditional drumming. That's why they're slaying right now. Any African should be able to dance to this if they just focus on the drums and ignore the piano and flute.. Don't look at the video, just let your spirit guide you and you'll get it. Easy.

    • @nades4c
      @nades4c Před 8 lety +7

      The flute is actually one of the pieces of traditional instrumentation on this track. It's an Igbo musical instrument called the 'poi', and it produces a very distinct set of notes.

    • @nades4c
      @nades4c Před 8 lety +10

      'Opi' not poi (autocorrection messed up the spelling)

    • @davies93313
      @davies93313 Před 7 lety +1

      There are several traditional Igbo musical instruments in this music as also shown on the video. The only thing I can remember easily that is not traditional is probably the piano that just played accompanying chords. The drum you are talking about is not that significant in this kind of music and in most cases is absent and the music still retains almost every shape you see in this one. The central instruments here are the 'ogene' and the flute and others are for back-up. Piano is merely present because they want and in fact not needed.

    • @slytheron
      @slytheron Před 7 lety

      While ogene is the main instrument, the drum is the most familiar to most Africans and easy to follow. That's why I referred to it. If you wanna be pedantic though, be my guest.

    • @davies93313
      @davies93313 Před 7 lety +1

      slytheron ...''' If you wanna be pedantic though, be my guest'''.... quite a good description of yourself put forward by yourself. You want to jump in and show-off 'knowledge' of what you aren't even familiar with but your show-off display was a fail. You couldn't even listen and single out the individual instruments playing and you want to argue with me so that you can have another occasion to show-off what you think you know about African musical culture whether correct or wrong. Alright, let's contest it and my position is that there are many traditional Igbo music without drums and still others with drums but the leading instrument which the performers follow are not the drums and that typical 'ogene' music doesn't have drums. So I have created the show-off opportunity you want. But get your proofs ready as I get mine.

      Exactly Bro.
      Even though he was rapping, he did it in his culture and spoke about things everyone knew about. not some American bling bling. Moreover, he used an authentic ogene beat, even got the native ogene dancers to feature in the video.
      I am so impressed with the guy's innovation.

      +zwitterion absolutely!!! My mother is ibo so I def appreciate and understand everything being said on the song. We have such a rich culture that these artistes could tap into for material FOR YEARS but they too busy trying to be Americanized. One time for Zoro again!! " ji Ferrari jite n gene" I can't get enough of this song.

Zoro is too talented but no need comparing him nd phyno or saying he sounds like phyno. We need to appreciate what they are doing with our language and not starting up a dumb rivary btwn them.
