Man I finally broke a bell crank so this video is super useful. I'm starting to realize traxxas SUCKS to work on compared to arrma. Seems like everything on a traxxas requires you to take at least half the truck apart to work on. Crazy to me as someone who has been arrma only until the XRT
I would say that customer service with Traxxas isn’t that good. If you call them for help, they talk down on you. Very condescending. And I’ve spoken to 3 different representatives. Arrma on the other hand I’ve heard is quite respectful for the most part.
@@kobebryant9363 Well next time you talk to a traxxas rep cuss them out and tell that person they don't need to be working there if they are not courteous to customers who spend thousands of dollars on their China made products.
I have the XRT with the Orange body all stock for now 😱 but, I just got some upgrades, I have a 2nd body in red from Traxxas for 109.00, upgraded the servo to the Traxxas 2085x for $95.00, added the X-Maxx Traxxas light kit for $100 and I got the Jetko 1/5 Belted low profile Tomahawk tires with red rims for 105.00 a pair lastly got a 4ch Traxxas remote to control LED lights strips mounted inside the bodies(on ch.3) and a roof mounted multi-color lightbar with 20 colors(on ch.4). Then keep the stock 20/50 gearing🤔 and call it a day. I'm a light in the azz basher (grass, pavement and hardly any jumps) just keeping it fun w/o trashing a rig that’s over $1k with add-ons! Great channel learned a lot here. 👍 Also looking at a (Trim To Fit) Chassis Warp from darksidestudioarts. 🤔 😊
Very nice upgrades list. The jetko wheels are too heavy for my liking was gonna get a set but they just weigh too much and will affect the performance. The advantage of the platform is the weight. I prefer upgrades that won't add much weight.
@@jaymitchrc the weights difference between the two sets of four is less than half 8-10oz🫢 going to compensate with the install of the 2085X servo. What is the best/easiest way to install the steering servo on the XRT, also doing the Toe links using the Traxxas aluminum links for upgrade. Thanks for your response 👍🏾
I really like this version of the battery tie downs as there is no drilling in the chassis. But I don't see the way they are positioned how it would tightly secure the battery down...

Thanks for the install overview on the bell crank. I just bought a Team Vitavon bell crank for my XRT too, not due in for another week or so. How do you know how much to adjust it? Sunds like there isnt a definitive process, but where do I start? I'd hate to go through that whole install and F that part up. Thanks for your help, Happy Holidays!
Nice upgrade Jay. Yeah you must be sending that xrt to the moon now that will hold up great. I just got the xrt only upgrades is Steering linkage is Aluminum. And the upgrade traxxas servo which I'm running on 7.4V hopefully it can handle it.
I notice you didn’t show how to get bell crank out after you removed that top screw why isn’t it the opposite side bell crank of the spring it doesn’t want to pop up

How do you know how much to adjust that Bellcrank spring down too🤔, if not then you have to take the front half of the chassis off until you get this right like you would prefer?

2 different beasts. I like them both . I feel like kraton needs 12s to be a beast. Xrt you can get crazy on 8s.

How do u get the stock piece on the left side off?
Do the vitavon battery hold downs work well for the Traxxas 6700s too?
They will work great with any lipos.
Junk batteries i have the Traxxas 6700 lipo packs for my Xmaxx as well. They swelled up and haven't put many runs on then and you could only charge them on the Traxxas smart charger and those are junk too. I get half way charging the lipos and it would stop with an error on charging the 6700 lipos
