      Thanks Daniella. learning Swedish, I am often confused about expressions of time. I mean... "this week", "last year", "in a week's time", "for many years" "for several years." That kind of thing. Perhaps a quick look at that might be an idea for a video.

      That 8.09 moment was the best! In hindsight it was a perfect example and emphasis edit.
      My second favorite is 6.41 where there is a popping sound and immediately what looks like a new hair cut. Video cuts can be so much fun. :-)

    I’m so excited to have found your channel! I started learning Swedish a couple months ago, but I’ve been stuck with the basics and struggled with the pronunciation because I just couldn’t find really good content out there. I listened to podcasts, read online lessons, and watched a good amount of videos; but no one explained things the way you do! You are a lifesaver 🙏🏽 Thank you for providing us with these lessons! Best regards from Puerto Rico! ❤️

    In French, we don't put 'de' between the date and the month either, nor do we capitalise days of the week or months. The only ordinal number we use in dates is 'premier' (1st); we use cardinal numbers for all other dates.

      I was surprised myself. I don't think I heard anyone say "tvåtusen" anytime after 2011. "Tjugohundra" is always fine but I'd go with the shorter "tjugo" everyday. I'm not from Stockholm though, but certainly not into sales.

    Tänker på bestämd artikel framför andra april. I mina öron känns "den" onödig. Jag fyller år andra april känns helt rätt även om "den andra april" också känns rätt.

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  Před 3 lety

      Ja, du har en poäng där. För mig känns det som att det är mer korrekt att skriva "den" men sedan när man pratar snabbt så skulle man kunna ta bort det. Eller bara svara "andra april". När fyller du år? Andra april.

    I still don't know how to say "where is the toilet" in Swedish even though I have been studying Swedish for almost 2 years now by translating song lyrics...
    I guess Swedish musicians don't like to sing about toilets....

    • @_J_A_G_
      @_J_A_G_ Před rokem +1

      You translate that literally: "var är toaletten" or "var finns toaletten".
      There was a joke at the ESC years ago that said all Swedish songs were toilet related... You know "Waterloo" (ABBA) and "Digi-loo" (Herrey's).
