    Have a cyma p90 myself, ended up fitting a mosfet and a slightly longer than stock barrel hidden by a suppressor and 3d printed front end extension, i was tempted to turn it into a dmr but full auto is far too much fun

    For magazines if you can find them the MAG 170 round mid caps are great. Also a good option for carrying them are the spiritus style chest rigs. If you use the 5.56 inserts and put the mags in flat side down the lip on the mag will sit just under the elastic of the insert and keep them held in place.

    Great video. Makes me want to dust of my P90 but I need to get rid of the silly looking long barrel/suppressor.

    It's a shame that Warminster has had to close (they had the Stargate).
    They're looking to move but I don't know if the Stargate will move with them

    I would give you an extra like if I can just for the mere mention of akimbo P90s. I also figured you'd start the video with that Stargate reference. 🤣
    Though it is relatively cheap with okay-ish internals, I found that as a win. If externals (as in build quality) are not really a concern, then I wouldn't mind making purchases like those into a project gun.
    Are your P90 pouches on your vest/rig? I couldn't see it properly. I can't relate to P90 reloads, but I do own a UMP and pouches for them are advertised as being able to take P90 mags as well. I have trouble pulling out the mags when i attached them to my chest rig, but I had much easier comfort when i attached it to a battle belt system, though I don't place used mags back into the pouches, but rather a large dump pouch. Though I'm not sure how viable that is since I'm guessing you're running a Stargate loadout!
    Fun video to watch! Good job!

    I'm still tempted to get the WE GBBR even though KIC have, at multiple times, told me not to because it will break.
    For science.

    It's a shame that any of these new companies bringing P90's to market haven't tried / been able to make the hi-cap mag work flawlessly. I get the problem, horizontal mag so any winding system without a spring to keep any tension will just make it rattle too much. Has to be a solution out there.

    • @GrandadSniper
      @GrandadSniper Před 2 lety +2

      there is a cunning fix! If you slightly block off the trailing side of the paddle wheel, this prevents almost all of the jamming issues. It takes a little experimentation to get it right, but it does work

      Many moons ago I had a G&G P90 and ran it with TM high caps I'd done that mod too. Pretty simple to do as well, think I used a bent cable tie super-glued in place 🙂

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah it's a bit of s bummer, but I quite like krytacs approach of just making huge 220 round mid caps. Though as @grandad sniper has said you can mod them to run more reliably. Might get my hands on a highcap to knock up a 3d printed part to help solve the issue.

      @@EnglishKiwi I bought some 170 rnd mids, cant remember the make, they cause brutal midcap syndrome when filled past 100, still useable mind

    I’ve worked on a brand new JG p90 for someone recently and I thought I’d just say what it had in it compared to the Cybergun/cyma
    It had a half steel rack piston, with a metal piston head with bearings, and it sealed perfectly (besides from the non o ring nozzle)
    8mm bearings as standard, so any set 8mm bushing/bearing could fit,
    A version 6 spring guide with no bearings (this I believe is a downgrade compared to the cyma p90 as it looks to use a v3 spring guide which is a much more available and better design)
    JG blue motor (neo magnet, high. torque motor)
    The inner barrel is not as nice as the cyma (cyma inner barrels have great crowning on the end compared to JG)
    It doesn’t have the cool red dot like the cybergun one
    All in all both seem to be great, but the JG has arguably better internals and is a little more pricey, while the cybergun has the edge on trades and red dot options,
    Just thought I’d put that out there!

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  Před 2 lety

      That's really good to know! Yeah certainly sounds like the JG p90 judges out the cyma when it comes to the gearbox.

    • @mtbbiker6401
      @mtbbiker6401 Před rokem

      I believe the JG has a better trigger contact box. Yes it's a clone of the TM, but JG did it better than CYMA. I've had to mod the CYMA shuttle just to get it to work reliably. Ultimately Perun P90 is the way to go but expensive.

      @EnglishKiwi  Před 2 lety

      I've not found too much wrong with mine. On full brightness it blooms as bit, but on the lower setting it gives a fairly clean dot. Sure it's not as good as more expensive red dots but for a £120 gun it's not bad!

    Bargain for £120 really. Did you dremel off the 6mm markings haha? I think the split type hop rubber is a cybergun thing as i know of a few cyma p90's that came with standard mound rubbers. Also my Famas and Mk46 that both just happen to be licenced by cybergun both came with split type rubbers.
