Look at some of these people, who hate Trump, actually DEFENDING the terrible main stream media. Everyone knows what the media is for, no need for a lecture, but it could be used to encourage and accomplish great things.....but if you are a negative political hack then i understand you do not understand what im saying.

As a Cleveland fan I lost respect for jim brown. I sat through an Obama rally a few years back just to get his and Franko Harris autograph at the end. After the 2 and a half hour rally was over Jim brown bailed and everyone got mad. Franko however, stayed and signed for everyone.
People can hate trump all they want. Someone that listens this much has a chance to do good things.

Jim Brown and his Amer-I-Can Program has been working in inner-cities for decades, and President Obama never once invited him to the White House to talk about solutions to Urban Violence..neither did Bill Clinton..We'll have to wait on the follow up with Trump's Administration. If Jim Brown and Ray Lewis believe him when he says he will help facilitate the change they are looking for, we should not doubt them.
Working with the other side is the best thing any politician can do. Trump is doing exactly that and people's hate gets stronger for him. Why do people feel the need to put hate first? We need to start putting compassion and understanding first, not ridicule and skepticism. Being skeptical is great, but maybe a wait and see approach would be best here.

Remember, under Obama, they changed how unemployment is calculated so that people who stopped looking for work are now counted as statistically employed, thus that magic 4.5% unemployment rate. It was all a ruse to fudge the numbers so that Obama's failure couldn't be accurately measured.
Going into the election I was pro-Hilary. But I don't see Hilary don't this meeting. I'm skeptical about Trump, but there's is at least some reason of optimism.

I love the fact that people are being proactive. As a man of color, from the top of the poor/ low middle class I asked myself why the cities with most problems have been ran by Democrats. I want better not just someone to say it's not your fault or it's "them/they". Love Ray n Jim. I think Singletary & David Clarke could be helpful as well
I think the future is important but we never seem to address the present more because if we can make an immediately impact now it will shape our futures.
Kerry Jackson There are so many reasons why people focus on the future. Just to name a few
1) Immediate actions focusing only on the present are like slapping some patches on a broken levee. They never fix the problem. They will be using the time and resources that could go to researching the underlying cause to barely mask the symptoms.
2) Change has to be gradual and well thought out. You don't plunge hot glass into an ice bath. Chaos is the result. Because of this, it's more logical to focus on the future which will be when the changes truly matter.
3) People put their children before themselves and would rather focuses on solving the underlying the issues so their kids won't have to live with the same problems.
4) The most affective changes start with the children. Each generation that grows up with new societal norms and rules tend to accept them better. Its why gen x is less likely to be accepting of others life styles than gen y. Gen y grew up with the new society norms. The next gen with be vastly different and more accepting than us gen y. Aka, start teaching them young! Lol
That's just a few... it's just wiser to focus on the future. All In all, adding the occasional patch can help but trying to patch everything will hurt more than it will help.
What we do now has an effect on the future. Those points mentioned are fine, we also need to make efforts to solve our currents issues so the future won't have these lingering problems
Kerry Jackson I do agree with this. We have so many of them. One of the ones I'm hoping for is the right to choice schools. My aunt and uncle actually had to sell her house and move just so my cousin could change schools. He was severely bullied in a school that was ranked low in the state but he couldn't leave because of the invisible school district line. :/ That's a problem now that needs immediate fixing.

I hope people will watch this and see Ray is a great person and cares about helping people. I also hope people will watch this and see how much Trump cares about his country and ALL the people LEGALLY in it. Both of these great men have a lot of haters that don't really know the true character of these men. We need to stop all the hate and separation. We also need to stop hating and calling each other names because we don't agree on SOME issues. We should go deeper and deeper into the conversation until we compromise or agree to disagree and vote on it. THEN EXCEPT THE RESULT OF THE VOTE AND MOVE FORWARD !

I'm not surprised Ray would meet with Trump because he's always tried to be an inclusive guy, but Jim Brown meeting Trump really surprised me. Both of these men knew they'd take a lot of heat for attending this meeting, but they care more about their community than their own personal reputations. Since Trump is a huge football fan who's been demonized by the political class, I can't think of two better emissaries of the black community than Ray Lewis and Jim Brown to meet with Trump.

"There is no they, they is nobody that is going to get it done, charity never compares to change etc. etc. etc. ". I'm little embarrassed right now that I thought this was going to be a ho hum almost negative type interview and instead it was the most inspiring and positive thing I've heard in at least a couple years. Wow.

Personally I think people need to stop referring to him as Trump, Donald, or Mr Trump, or Donald Trump. He is President-Elect Trump and soon to be President Trump. Whether you like him or dislike him, we as citizens need to respect the office of President. I don't like it when people call our current president Barrack or just Obama, and I do not care for President Obama at all. When I speak about him I always recognize the title and the office with proper respect due.
