Mommy loves chocolate. She "keeps it all for herself, way up high on the top shelf." Her daughter loves chocolate too and searches throughout the house for her mother's hiding place.
Both mother and daughter make chocolate recipes, enjoy fizzled goo (whatever that is!), and eat ice cream (even when melted). Both mother and daughter recognize that they are a lot alike.
They both share a love for chocolate, and they both find ways to express a love for each other through their shared experiences.
The book tries to capture the mother-daughter relationship while recognizing that even something as small as chocolate can create that special bond.
