- A better description of how this homemade well cleaner works. This well is about 30 feet deep and this thing pumps up sand and crap with ease. I was able to borrow a better compress than I had last time and it seemed to help.

Just put a long hose on a shop vac and put a carpet cleaning attachment. tie a long stick to the hose so you can move it around.
How many hours did it take you to clean it out?
And how deep did it go?

it took 10 to 12 hours or remove about 3 feet of sand

Hi Sir, Im a little confused with your set up. How does the sand and dirty water push up through the pipe if its closed by the copper tubing? And where does the.second hose get its ait from? the same compressor? Plus how deep can your set up go? Sorry for the questions but maybe a simple home made diagram would really clear things up. Great Video though!
The copper pipe is open inside the black tube, so the air can exit the copper pipe forcing up the black tube. I used two air hoses to increase lift each is connected to a compressor

You could use this to empty a septic tank ?
I think that the amount of solids found in a septic tank would make it difficult. The scientific principle says it would work however the diameter of the pipe used would be a major factor.
How much bar air pressures
could you size this for 300-400 ft?
It would be tricky to extend the black PVC piping that deep, you would have to assemble lengths as you lowered them.Also I am sure if you could get the lift you would need. Air pressure alone will only lift less than 30 feet but perhaps with the aid of the compressor it would work. Sorry I can not be more help but that is a very long lift. If it works for you I would like to hear about it from you.
There a guy from Texas that uses this design. Be goes about 80-90 feet if I remember right.
Air psi is 16-17.

@@RoyTufts Hi Roy, can you advise if you used a check valve at the bottom of your pipe to allow for priming.
@@maxwellwalker620 No I did not have a check value, the water would rise inside the pipe to the same level as the water in the well. The second air hose part way up the pipe aided in the lifting of the water and I was able to pump up to ground level, about 28 feet. Air pressure alone will not lift water much beyond that.
