This song has always worked extremely well live..just gotta love that climatic final...Bono actually reminds me of Jim Morrison towards the end of this clip..Awesome!
That was refreshing.... zero smugness..... all edginess. "The song began as a guitar riff composed by lead vocalist Bono from a demo, which the band revisited with success after talking with German filmmaker Wim Wenders about providing music for his film Until the End of the World. The song's lyrics describe a fictional conversation between Jesus Christ and Judas Iscariot. The first verse discusses the Last Supper; the second is about Judas identifying Jesus with a kiss on the cheek in the Garden of Gethsemane; and the final is about Judas' suicide after being overwhelmed with guilt and sadness. "
Axblack you have vision like u2 and i wanna thank you for making my night and day better..You see the u2 as family and home and we all love it...God bless..cbono69
na, you know, i think he's just- again- grown up, & reached anther level in his life, wher politcs & worldly events & strong opinions of specific things have become as important to him as his music. he's prioritizing differently, as do we all. nd honestly, i think its admirable that despite "growing up" and becoming so ridiculously socially responsible (regardless of if u agree w/ their specifics or not), they can still make quality music. different, and not always to EVERY1s taste- but QUALITY
love this many thanks m8, so good to see one of my favourite songs in full daylight, i have done a version of Love is blindness if anyone would care to hear it, god bless
@laboloche THEY AREN'T ASLEEP LAD...its the brilliance of the movie, brilliance and de fookin' band in their face. Seriously, this song is their apex. Go Kerry, Mayo and Meath!
@andrewthedj8 This is one of my fave U2 tracks and I love it when they do it live but this was defo a lack lustre performance and i get that Bono had to be wired up and he couldn't connect with the crowd which he loves to do, thanks for the reply
This was a pretty anti-U2 crowd at this point. You can tell by a lot of the faces there. The band sounded great and earned every ounce of applause they got.
i know what you mean.. just think something happen to him after these 97 years that really messed up his perspective on his shit. I gotta show more love but I'm just being honest.
@kindaedgy Dude i love U2 and i think that edges solo at this song is the best on U2 songs i'm a huge edge fan too but what i want to say is that this version was absolutely the worst they ever playe.but i never said that i dont like U2 and the solo....also what makes it even worse is the crowd....
not a typical u2 stage set-up, and this shows a bit. the crowd are too far away from the stage and although the band are kicking ass and working it hard the crowd are half asleep-(typical yanks though)!! bono needs to be a lot more closer to the "action" as in more recent u2 shows. this period of u2 is very much under-rated, it was a very experimental time for them and personally i think the album "pop" and the subsequent tour were the dogz bawz!! ( totally amazing). usa didnt get it though:(
he's getting old, man, give him a break. no need to compare a man to his prime when he's past it, thats just cruel. especially when its a charmingly overconfident bloke like bono
That stage sucks in the terms of a U2 gig. They are simply too high and far away from the audience. The audience looks like majority doesn't quite get the song's message and music although the performance is just perfect.
[0:19 - 0:25]: 'Aha aha aha, aha aha aha aha'... What's this??? In my opinion it sounds quite stupid and it's one of the worst versions of this song at all. :(
The band gave everything in this one. Gave me chills toward the end. I miss this U2
Actung Baby the very best album of U2.
“Until the End of the World”
No Comment !!!
that was awesome! shows they can play that kind of stage aswell. i loved the snippet of the doors at the end! i think the crowd was digging it, def.

Jimmmm 🖤❤

Is this rock and roll? Damn right it is!! I would be quite happy to rock out on that coda until the end of time.
U2 are the best....great song
my fave u2 song !
Legends
AWESOME!! Edge was seriously on a roll. Thanks for the vid!
the crowd is so dead, that bon says "this is awkward" at the very end haha
Perfect 10
The best, the best, the best!!
Axblack is the hardest working, dedicated U2 fan I know of lol :) thanks Ax for the videos :)
After every end there is a beginning.

i like adam's hat
I like the t shirt and simple trousers look.
Love it until the end of the wold
That’s what was said. Ok now what. Mercy!
love this many thanks m8, so good to see one of my favourite songs in full daylight, i have done a version of Love is blindness if anyone would care to hear it, god bless
My favourite U2 song. I like it when the strip themselves back and lose some of the non-sense.
Looked like life was finally starting to catch up with Bono on this tour. He aged quickly and his voice was shot.
His voice was shot from all the screaming and Belting on Rattle and Hum and from Smoking on the ZooTV tour
Los putos amos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fuck I love that performance! Don’t U2
@gezburnz Im from the U.S.A. I got it. I was mad at the skeptics. Saw U@ in this period at the Coliseum in 1998 for the POP Mart Tour. Loved them
@laboloche THEY AREN'T ASLEEP LAD...its the brilliance of the movie, brilliance and de fookin' band in their face. Seriously, this song is their apex. Go Kerry, Mayo and Meath!
me too!
Oh my God, what happened here, this end is SO GREAT!!!
listen to the guitar: taratara, taratara,.....ahh
Raw was my imagine
Quantum field past
Hot PopMart Bono
LOOOL. 2:28. i think thats bono's default move. otherwise known as the "I Will Follow" act. i love it.hahah
U2 wrote "Miami"
The edge. Lookin good. Go
commenting in 2020 cuz all the other comments are from 12 years ago lol
@pasqualebonovox Hell Yeah!
It's the waiting game.

suraj singh Rathord yes! Awesome eh
Bono in his prime!
🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
777
his taste is shades was way better back then
Do you mean The Edge or Bono, because up until recently Bono had long hair!
@laboloche ther elike a loud of zombie. 'yehhhoooo..... bonoooooo. mehhhhhh zzzzzzzzz'
don't get the complaints about the crowd. they seem to be well into it for a non U2 show
Are you sure now
Sonidista despedido!!!
This was a pretty anti-U2 crowd at this point. You can tell by a lot of the faces there. The band sounded great and earned every ounce of applause they got.
Now I see that stages with not catwalk are not enough for Bono to move the crowd...people seem dead-despite this bom-blast-rock-music
Ananaki gods.
@rocksuena ditto
I like the clothes of bono here
adam seems to always dress the best eh.
I have seen the demon and I have been the seventh seal, what's next?
At 2:15 Bono was giving a finger to somebody in the crowd😂
looks like bono is playing pocket pool at 3:18 lmao.
Really?
Haha bono is so causal here
I think bono knew that at 2:13
i know what you mean..
just think something happen to him after these 97 years that really messed up his perspective on his shit.
I gotta show more love but I'm just being honest.
Last time the edge used the LP custom for this song, in my opinión the goldtop he uses now doesn't match the tone of this yellow beauty
👍👍👍
80s Bono is prime
@kindaedgy

I think bono,s pissed
2:12 , I see Gilligan finally got off the Island 😂

usa didnt get it though:(
I think bono looks rough in this one!
he lost his beautiful and powerful voice
i really like this performance, should stook to the striped down performances instead of taking that bloody arch and lemon around with them!!
pobre bono, el tratando de animar al public...
siento verguenza ajena
asi y todo el es todo un profesional
he's getting old, man, give him a break. no need to compare a man to his prime when he's past it, thats just cruel. especially when its a charmingly overconfident bloke like bono

4 justin biebers
the worst concert and version of until the end of the world EVER
Popmart.. the worst U2 Period.. i suppose it was hard to live up to the ZooTv period before it
[0:19 - 0:25]: 'Aha aha aha, aha aha aha aha'... What's this??? In my opinion it sounds quite stupid and it's one of the worst versions of this song at all. :(
Bono looks and sounds very out of place, not the best!! Coincidence when money isn't involved he gives an below average performance !!
