Into The Wild - The MT. Guiting Guiting (G2) Traverse Olango-Tampayan Trail

Whenever I climb a mountain, regardless of elevation, difficulty, weather and other factors, it's always love at first sight. But this one has been different. Never have I crossed a mountain where I felt scared after seeing it upfront, face-to-face. There's this part that I questioned myself if i'm really ready for this or if my preparation prior to the climb was enough but there's also a part of me that's excited, giddy and up for the challenge. And since i'm with people who share the same passion as mine, my vacation leave was also irrevocable and I'm already there, I chose to move forward (I mean up, literally) instead of letting fear eat me up.
If someone would ask me to describe G2, I'd probably say, it's like the mountains in the Philippines decided to have a reunion in Sibuyan Island, Romblon. They celebrated, got drunk and lied down next to each other and formed the thin, jagged ridges that is Mt. Guiting-Guiting. Nice story to tell the kids, right?
Anyway, join us through this video as we scale one of my dream mountain, the mighty Mt. Guiting-Guiting. The Galapagos of Asia, one of the most difficult mountains to traverse in full pack (and in 2 freaking days!) and one-third of the Philippines Knife edge trilogy.
