Cool mechanism. Looking forward to seeing how you get the balls off of the curved ramp while leaving room for the vertical bar to continue around its circular path.

Hi Gary, stay tuned for Ep 7 will cover that issue. Spoiler…… it was actually VERY hard. 🙃

@@CopperGravity For real, the second I saw your idea back in Ep. 1 my first thought was "This is pure GENIUS!". 2nd thought was "How the hell are you going to dismount at the top?" Can't wait to see what you came up with. Cheers.

Those arches look really good. I especially like the effect with the second-to-last arch to the top where, depending on the angle, there is some suspense as to whether the pushing rod will make it through or be too tall!
I look forward to your tackling the downhill portion.

Thanks. It does look exciting when the rod passes under. Lots of fun too.

Nice work. I've been fascinated by these sculptures for many years and you've inspired me to start my own. Based on your input regarding resistance soldering I got sidetracked from my sculpture for a week or so building my own resistance soldering unit from an old 650W ATX computer power supply and it works wonderfully. After much effort I got my spiral ball lift completed and functioning last weekend... a very satisfying milestone. I want to thank you for your excellent videos and details that you provide. That is very generous of you and it has helped me immensely. Your latest effort above is beautiful and original. Keep up the great work and the excellent videos. Mike from sunny Arizona.

You are a very talented man. Soon, I will be starting on my ball clock, I might use some of your creative ideas

Very creative! I love the looks. The ball lift mechanism is fantastic and fun to see in operation. What speed motor did you use for that and how (if you know yet) many balls will it be lifting at once so you don't have a flood of balls raining down each pass? If you're like me, you plan on figuring it out as your design continues. Great work once again.- Bill from across the pond-Colorado

Hi Bill. If I turn up the motor speed/power it will lift many balls. Maybe as many as six!!! But I have decided to lift two at a time This feels about right for the motor size and will create a nice downward pattern of movement. The higher the balls, the more strain on the motor.
