    I like HD Fat Boy a lot. So, I went to visit a local HD dealership and they wanted to charge me a lot over MSRP. So, I eventually bought a 1/12 scale model and I have become a happy owner now ever since.

    The pipes sound great on both bikes. Nice to hear that thundering Harley roar! Great choice, thanks for sharing.

    Better than the cobra twin slash is the V&H Trin Slash or Cobra Neighbor Haters but i prefer V&H Eliminator 300's with baffle packing removed, V&H Twin Slash, Rhinehart has some nice ones as well.

    That's my dream bike, do either of you have any concerns with leaving your bikes out in bad weather. I don't mean overnight but rather if you took it to work and had to leave it outside for several hours. Really nice job on both your bikes

    • @1scottishiron

      Thanks Dan. To be honest, I take bike out in decent weather and avoid poor weather. I keep it indoors so can't comment on how it would be in bad weather. I'm sure it would be fine if you keep it clean. You could also use a cover. I did see an Iron 883 looking poor, rust and peeling paint, it was just 2 years old. You also see bikes 10+ years old looking great. I would definitely use one of the treatments such as ACF50 to protect your bike. Hope that helps.

      @@1scottishiron I am the same, I only ride in good weather, I had an 8hr spinal fusion op a few yrs ago, which didn't work & my back would be in bits if I had to detail a reall dirty machine. I have a 2017 Fatboy lo Special, it was the lowest ever production Harley, mine was a superceded model, so they threw in V & H Big Radius pipes, Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner & an FP3 tuner, as well as a sissy bar & rack. I love the Fatboy, always puts a smile on my face, have a great weekend 👍

    Honestly, the stock pipes don't sound like a Harley AT-ALL (zero). I wonder if that was intentional ... if you know what I mean. When I got my fatty, on the very same day of signing papers, I ordered louder pipes, which made the WHOLE LOT MORE SENCE and sound. (so the dealer got much more business from the deal ... if you know what I mean).

    • @1scottishiron
      @1scottishiron  Před 2 lety

      Yeh, that's what they call the Harley tax! 😫 Everyone buys the bike and then spends a fortune making it sound like a Harley and customising to own preference. Hope you're enjoying your Fat Boy!

    Those Speedster Slashdown look DOPE on the Fat Boy, thinkin about a set of them for my Fat Boy 114, but in Chrome. Those look better than Shortshots and they have a crossoverport on them for the mufflers too. Awesome pipe choice.

      @1scottishiron  Před 3 lety +1

      That was the issue, Vance & Hines are not making slip ons with the o2 sensor which is necessary for the 2021 European bikes. The solution is a remap direct at the ECU, avoiding a FP3 tuner and meaning the existing Eliminator 300s can be fitted. Still a Stage 1.
