I love me some video game shanties (looking at you AC: Black Flag) but I wanted to capture the wonder and beauty of the Starfield OST. This is what I came up with. I love this song, and he sings it well.. but to me its sounds like his voice gets drowned out by the music at times and you really got to listen to it.. Hay the this is one of my favorite songs right now but i do feel like it ended abruptly it you carried it out for like another chorus I think it would have been a lot better if that makes sense but other than that 10/10 would recommend
As a producer and writer, this is something I always have to be careful with and be very intentional with and this one was no different. I had worked on an extended version of it but ultimately thought this more concise version felt the most organic. Really appreciate your input and your time for listening. This is good.... But it's also missing the mark by a bit. That ending is not good. It's so far from a shanty and breaks the flow. It's like being teased by a sequel to the best game you've ever played and it turns out they turned it into an RTS. Heartbreak. Good song though.
