What makes it so pricey? The Raj Palace is the oldest mansion in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. A place where Royalty has stayed before. The lavish palace was converted into a luxury heritage hotel in 1996. The ‘Maharaja’s Pavilion’, also known as the ‘Presidential Suite’, is a four-story suite with its very own private elevator connecting each floor. Boasting four opulent bedrooms, the total area of the suite is 16,000 square feet. The suite boast of various ancient artifacts from the 17th century.
This palace has seen the likes of many renowned dignitaries, the Ambani's & many royalties from around the world.

Absolutely not worth at @ 30 Lakh a night. It's like they are asking U for their further property investment. This is how they keep expanding their real estate.
In today's time, this is just a template palace hotel. Keeping price aside, this is not the most luxury palace hotel out there. History and sentimental value can only justify it so much.

It's too beautiful, I have to spend at least a week in that suite. One caveat though; I wonder if the spirit of the Maharaja and his entourage are still not leaving in the building if his personal belongings such as his pillow are still there.

This priceless luxury, comes with it the massive misuse of public money. Taxes paid through sweat,blood and soil tainted the so called Maharajas. You never know, which of them must have turned to a labourer in their next life. Karma always paysback.
