I gotta say, I'm quite impressed with this little multi-algo digital delay. In this video I walk through all 8 distinct delay modes and can't really find a bad one! Each have their own character and vibe, and do a solid job of emulating the classic delay sounds they're labeled after.
On top of the 8 delay modes, the Aquarius features a looper which I'll highlight in its own demo video. Check back for that video coming soon!

@@AmbientEndeavors I checked you out. Very nice. Kind of has a Middle Eastern feel to it. Just out of curiosity, why that direction? Rock is truly the beaten path so it's always good to hear something different! I have been playing over 50 years, my favorite being jazz fusion/improv but I play all styles.

Agreed! I was impressed with both of those too. The degradation and character of the analog is more nuanced than you usually see from a budget delay.

I haven't used pedals for years. I saw the NuX Roctary and listened to a lot of vids before purchasing it. It's a great modulation, I think better than the Roto-Vibe. And around the same time, I saw a bunch of distortion effects. I mainly use a Seymour Duncan Twin Tube, but it's nice to have other things that sound a little different. I heard the Joyo California and really liked so got one. That made me look at other Joyo products. Just a few weeks ago, I saw someone talking about the Joyo Vision. I ended up getting one since it has a lot more to offer than the Roctary. While I was looking at it, I saw the Aquarius and ran into your video. I use an Eventide Timefactor but your video made me really interested in the Aquarius. The time factor is a great pedal, but I am not really keen on the presets and you have to go in and fudge with them to find what you want. The Aquarius seems to have taken the best of delay and saved you time tuning in those sounds. Thanks for the video, Ambient Endeavors. I like that you played a clean guitar and not a distorted guitar so you could hear the clarity of the Joyo. My next purchase!
Glad you found it helpful! Yeah the Eventide stuff is great but deep in terms of controls and menus. Aquarius is straightforward, versatile and still sounds really good.

BTW does the tap tempo function works in all modes?
I was deciding between this one and the NUX Time Core, which also looks and sounds great. But the NUX has two stereo modes which would be useless to me. The Galaxy mode on here sounds great! Thanks!

@@AmbientEndeavors is there a tremolo you might recommend? Budget friendly mostly because I can't see dropping a large chunk of change on a tremolo pedal. I was gonna save and drop a large amount on the delay but then I saw the Aquarius and looked up some reviews.

What is the maximum delay time? Just for the delay effects, not the looper. I have the Donner Yellow Fall delay but it only does a 620ms delay max. I'm looking for a nice slow delay.
Can I change hear divisions for repeats?
To put for example dotted eight notes?
Imagine a pedal that has chorus, tremolo, flanger, and alien effects on it but only delays...like a dream
I wonder if this and the D-Seed II use the same algorithms.
When I turn this and distortion together I hear the Ticking of the delay even when I'm not playing anything. Is it natural? Thanks.
does it work well running it in front of the amp? (no fx loop)

Thanks! Well, kind of apples and oranges. If you want a compact pedal and don't need tap tempo or stereo, the Aquarius sounds great. The D-Seed II gives you stereo ping pong option and tap tempo which adds versatility. I'd say the actual delay tones are very similar between the two. Hope this helps!

What is better ? Joyo aquarius or joyo D- seed 2?
Just sold mine in exchange for elector harmonix canyons delay pedal and my joyo atmosphere for an e.harmonix oceans 11 reverb. But still these pedals punch way above their wait..just careful not to string to many together, the sound begins to muddy heavily and you lose the main trail

Can you do delay and loop at same time?

Would you recommend this over joyo d seed 2?
Just bought this to pair with my joyo atmosphere..and my joyo OD..soon my pedal board may well be all joyo..they are the best kept secret in the pedal biz

I don't know what to buy, if this pedal or the Gauss Delay from TC Electronic. This one has more options and a looper, byt the TC Electronic one nails the tape delay tone. (I would use delay mostly to play The Police and The Smiths songs) Which one should it buy?
A tough call! I love the option of having a looper, so that would sell me on this one. Depends on how that useful it is to you. If you're mainly wanting *the* delay tones, perhaps the other one is better suited.
@@AmbientEndeavors I finally decided to buy the Joyo Aquarius. The TC electronic tape echo isn't that much different from the Joyo one and I guess that for the extra money getting a looper and other types of delay is totally worth it. Thanks!
@@arnauvila2884 I am actually sad I bought the TCE Gauss tape echo, theres a noticeable volume drop when turning it on, that had I known it was a common problem I would have just gotten this. I got sucked into the hype of all the vids covering it, hell I didnt notice the drop until like a week later. Glad you went with the Joyo!

This is the only pedal I’ve seen where you can use looper simultaneously with the effects!! Sold!

is a 5 minutes looper enough?
It's more than enough for how I use loopers. I generally just capture an 8 bar or so phrase and layer on top. Really depends on how you're planning on using it.
