Miles is chasing Deacon with a patrol car and forces him to wreck the truck and then offers him a deal: Deacon gives Miles the diamond and allows Miles to arrest him and in exchange Miles takes him back to the United States and cuts him back in on the diamond. Deacon agrees, and Miles immediately double-crosses him by handcuffing him to the wrecked truck for the Federales to find. Deacon draws a gun to shoot Miles but Miles turns and shoots him first, killing him and avenging Eddie's death.

What’s the movie Blue Streak about?
When master thief Miles Logan (Martin Lawrence from National Security and Bad Boys) gets caught during a jewel heist, he hides his loot in the ventilation ducts of a half-finished office building at a nearby construction site moments before being arrested. After he does time he heads back to claim his stashed score only to find that the construction site has become the HQ of the LAPD's 37th Precinct. In order to get his loot back, he infiltrates the police force by posing as a detective. Not only do the cops think he's a real detective, he's soon placed in command of the entire burglary unit and is teamed up with newly-appointed Detective Carlson (Luke Wilson from The Royal Tenenbaums) to take under his wing. All he wants to do is look for his hidden booty but, wouldn't you know it, he keeps having to take on actual police assignments. But things will get more complicated when Mile’s old accomplice Deacon (Peter Greene) will try to steal the diamond.
