- I think we just discovered the GREATEST Art Medium on Earth! and I'm not even joking!
I really do hope you enjoy today's serious attempt at a painting, I never expected much going into this, but I was shocked and surprised in the BEST way possible!!
Have you seen Arcane? What did you think of the show? Let us all know..
Did you like today's art? I'm very interested to know your thoughts.
I hope you will go out and try some Gouache for yourselves, truly I believe its a product for everyone, I really enjoyed it. You will too!
Have a great day everyone,
Take care :). - Zábava
Have you watched ARCANE yet? - Did I do the show justice?
I really enjoyed today's painting, I hope you all did too... It was nice to get lost in the process and actually push to create something Mum would put on the fridge.
Your art is amazing
pls draw a demon next
You did an amazing job, its nice to hear that you enjoyed yourself while making it! Love the result xx
I've used gouache a lot in the last year and I love them, I use Arrtx or HIMI brand and they are both amazing. I'll have to give Arteza gouache a try!
I would love to see you make more art pieces with gouache. Jinx turned out so awesome!!!❤🖤
Not a bad effort. Blaming you though when the Mrs sees the bank statement 😜🤣
U should Definitely do some more serious art. Not all the time, but sometimes. This video was so worth the wait GREAT job
I seriously can’t fathom your skill level sometimes. This came out amazingly! I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us. Great first video for the year!
Thank you ❤
@@ADCArtAttack hi, lately I've seen a few tributes to George Perez, the artist behind the avengers, crisis on infinite earths and of course The new Teen Titans, would you be willing to make such a tribute yourself?, personally I would love to see what you could do with The new Teen Titans.
I totally agree!!!!!!!!!!
I have painted with Gouache, Tempera and Acrylic for over 25 years and for the longest time I didn’t know what’s what. I always had just bought paint in tubes and didn’t bother which kind I bought. And I dealt with the paints as they were and combines all three kinds. Took me forever to realize that Gouache and Tempera are water colors 😅 Today I am aware of the differences and I find Acrylic most convenient. But I also like the matte finish of Gouache. So I still use all of them and also combine them when necessary.
Check out SoFlat if you like working in acrylics but like a matte finish.
@@jaredtreanor8499 Thank you very much. I will definitely do that! Sounds great. But wow, they are expensive here.
Question! I'm new to gouache and i've heard that the media tends to crack. How possible is that to happen and if its due to aging how could you prevent the paint to crack?
@@bananamanchuria It's less to do with ageing and more to do with the thickness of the paint film. gum arabic isn't a good binder for painting thickly, it has relatively poor adhesion which leads to flaking and cracking in thicker applications. If you're worried about cracking, you could try some of the Acrylic Gouaches on the market, I believe Holbein's is very popular. Acrylic is far more flexible than gum arabic with much stronger adhesion so it's way less prone to cracking than traditional gouache.
@@jaredtreanor8499 ohhhhhh niiice! Will check those out, thanks for the info! So goauche should be treated more like watercolors? Lots of glazings and stuff of that sort?
I loved the fact that you took on a piece of serious art. It's such a change from the typical marker reviews, that I just had to watch. And wow am I glad I did! The artwork you created is awesome! And the fact that you made it with a medium your using for the first time 😲 I'm shocked. Awesome job! Would love to see more in the future!
I'd love the chance to do more serious work going forward. I'll see if Time will permit :)
@@ADCArtAttack please keep doing this. This was one of my favorite videos and I would love to see your skill evolve using this medium.
You’ve taught me a valuable lesson when doing art; be free and let go and let your skills take control. Every time I watch your vids it all ways helps me to be a better artist. You inspired me to make an art Chanel on ticktock and it’s goin good so far! But my downfall is consistency and I felt like I was loosing my “groove” with art
Watching you use the gouache makes me realize how little I still know about my Arteza paints and now I'm going to have to give them another go. And the final piece makes me want to watch this show that I'd never heard about until now. It's fantastic!
You would 100000% not regret watching it! It's one of the best shows out right now.
It's VERY mature, in terms of how it treats its audience.
That's one of the best things about it... no pandering, just a great series!!
@@ADCArtAttack Now I'm really looking forward to watching this show. I do love good storytelling and character development. Thanks ADC!
What a GREAT piece! I'm colour blind, and these paints do a really good job of contrasting each other with crisp definition.
This was fun and i have to say this: I’m not an expert but you nailed gouache like a master!…. I hope you keep sharing your gouache journey (😂) if there is one… happy new year!
The video production on this is next level, loved the sound, the visual effects, and we haven't even gotten to the art work. Having no experience in the subject matter I can still feel the emotion of the painting and it is truly stellar. Great job all the way around!
I'm so happy you enjoyed the video, thank you:)
Agreed, incredible work.
Kiba jumping on the desk is the best part of my day. He's so cute and fluffy. Need more kiba in videos ❤️
I love the progression from not quite understanding the medium to realizing the depth and versatility of it.
This piece of artwork is incredible I will have to try this medium for myself!!!! Also I’m regards to arcane the series is fantastic I’m so happy that Netflix have already confirmed a second series!!!!!
He's the Master of Color pencils, Markers and now Gouache! 🔥🔥
😅
Gouache is amazing! I primarily use it for making medieval illuminations for the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), which are then given out as awards to the populace :) I use them with a combination of ink and genuine gold leaf, and I use them opaquely...I'll put a dab of the paint onto my palette, along with a drop or two of water and mix it well so that it resembles more like melted ice cream, and it paints like dream! If you would like to see some samples of my illuminations, let me know, I can DM you some links to them :)
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is my favorite thing you've ever done. You captured Jinx beautifully and the style you did it in was a nice homage to Arcane. Really awesome work, dude.
I love the beginning "kid in a candy store" effect where you wanted to run a test on three different colors and didn't quite make it through all three. I was genuinely happy for you :)
I am absolutely blown away by the results you managed to get with a medium you're not used to! What amazing skills!
I kinda want to try guache now! Thank you for an amazing video as always!
You genuinely seem like such a nice and fun person! I love your creativety and seeing you explore new things
Sarah Renea Clark and Chloe Rose Art will be proud. Love that you are trying new mediums, loved it
This is why I keep coming back: the joy of discovery and excitement that ADC showcases with new things! It gives me hope, excitement, and motivation to get back into Art again. I just wish I would watch these during the day when I can make the time to follow thru with this motivation.
Dude this is amazing!!! By far my favorite I’ve ever seen you create! Such an inspiration to try something out of your comfort zone.
I loved how you describe the way the medium led you, how you entered into that state where the medium and the artist are one. I have felt that zone before. Thank you for describing it so beautifully.
This is rad! You've been a big influence for me in learning how to draw and use pencils and markers over the last 2 years, and I really appreciate you going out of your comfort zone with the gouache. I always found paint to be intimidating but maybe I'll have to give it a shot now!
You definitely did the show justice, the art direction in the show was awesome and so was your painting! Also nice editing in the video during the painting and glad you’re feeling better
You absolutely killed it with the paint , the face and the hair is absolutely Beautiful . This really shows your versatility with different thing , this is absolutely amazing
Thank you so much! :)
I really appreciate the small life lessons you incorporate into your videos based on what you learn through your art
Oh wow! This was fantastic! I absolutely loved Arcane. I feel it was the best show of the year and so unbelievably beautiful. You nailed the look of the show. So cool!
This is absolutely unreal, like I can’t explain how amazing this piece is. You make me thrive to be an better artist. I hope I can be at your skill level one day. The details and the freeness with this art piece is beautiful. The meaning behind it is everything. You did an outstanding job king!
This is brilliant. I absolutely love Arcane and you did the show justice! And then some! beautiful original piece, and you got everything about the character correct.
Sooooo amazing. I love it.
I absolutely love it!!!! I am so glad you decided to use a new medium. Your marker work is amazing and I love watching your videos, but I it was nice to see you dabble in something else.
That was awesome! That part talking about your relationship with your medium... poetic!
Hi ADC, this painting is amazing!
I was taught to use guash in high school in my arts class, which was really nice, as they are very user friendly. I didn't know much about other types of paint, so it's nice to see a CZcamsr use this type of paint too :)) I really like how you always try new things and experiment with art!
Happy New Year!
I absolutely love this piece! Jinx is such a great character and her duality fits the duality of the medium you used. I'm so glad you enjoyed this art piece! And Arcane was freaking amazing! The art style really struck me and really played so well into the story. And the music was fantastic! I really want more of the story and hope we get that at some point.
Just wow. I think this is my favorite piece you’ve done on the channel thus far!! 👏👏👏
This is hands down my favorite art piece you have done. We need more of this watching this is a inspiration to start back drawing again 😊
I love this!!! It was so much fun watching you joyfully explore gouache as a medium. I hope to see you paint more! ☺️
This probably my favourite of yours - genuinely think this is your medium. Absolutely spectacular!
Love your stuff, keep exploring and trying new mediums, it's so fun to watch!
I'm a professional Paintmaker. Gouache paint is Only like Acrylic in the sense that it has full opacity. By its formula it is essentially a Heavy watercolor with a lot of filler packed into it (usually calcium carbonate) to make it matte and opaque. It otherwise uses the same binder (gum arabic) and mulling process as watercolor. It is a great medium for the artist that wants more full opacity with each brush stroke and a thicker consistency paint to play with.
Great job using with such deftness for the first time. Impressive!!
Absolutely love this art piece! You're clearly a great artist when you can make something so epic with a new medium!
I love the artwork but most of all I love the joy painting with gouache gave you. It was lovely to watch. I hope to see more.
I loved watching you paint her hair! It came alive under your brush strokes! Just beautiful!
I really enjoyed this one :) I found your channel recently, looking for a bit of info on marker blending techniques (I usually use pastels and graphite, so a bit of a learning curve!) It was so fun to see you transferring your skill set into something new and being so enthusiastic about it. Can't beat that 'hey, it does this!' feeling. Looking forward to seeing where you go next, and happy 2022!
Really enjoy all your videos but this is my favorite thing you’ve posted. You killed this!
so so amazing, i have waited so much for this piece since you announced you would make this, im really impressed with this, really great job
Thanks Eck, I was so nervous yet excited to share this!
Glad to say it's been received well so far. Bar a couple negative comments.
The first time I watched this - I hadn't seen Arcane. After watching it, I knew I HAD to watch this video again. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Both the show and the art. Thanks for leading me to the show and the encouragement to try gouache!
In my opinion, this is your best work ever yet! I love it!
The video was definitely worth the wait! I would love for you to do more artworks and videos on things you enjoy with mediums you enjoy using. Your best videos are the ones where you are happy with the outcome and enjoyed the process!
To a happy and successful 2022 🍻
I have not watched Arcane but the artstyle is stunning! Also you and Gouache are incredible! I sincerely hope that you continue to explore the depths it offers cause I think you can find styles that maximize this medium and really level up you and your creative mind! It was an absolute joy to watch! The way you tried this out and let yourself just be immersed reminds me of my personal favorite artist because they often explore different mediums and find ways to incorporate to them and how art is just so expressive! This was really cool, great music choice too :D
This is awesome I love when you go all out on a piece of paper so great to watch
Omg that hair looks amazing. The whole pic came out wonderfully. I think this is your new calling. Great job!!!!
That finished product is something I can only dream of doing, you are insanely talented
This is stunning! In love how enthousiastic you sounded when you were trying the gouache for the first time. I think you might have found your best art medium. Great job!
100% I agree .... this supply brought out something in me
Gouache is one of my favorite art mediums! I’m so glad that you tried it and loved it!
THIS IS FANTASTIC! Wonderful job!!!! I absolutely love Arcane and Jinx as a character
I love it! I LOVE IT! What an amazing artist you are! Thank you for your job, really!
It’s amazing. I think you found your new medium honestly. I’d love to see more of this.
Hello
I bought gouache for the first time yesterday and im using it while watching your video
This turned out amazing. And your narration made me see that it was an artist basically rediscovering themself. Truly beautiful.
This looks absolutely incredible, I’m so happy with the outcome
I love how excited you get when you are surprised with something 😊
Awww stupid bug! Glad to hear you’re feeling better!
Awesome!!! Such an amazing job!! This is the best Gouache tutorial/experiment I have seen yet. You did a good job showing it and how it works. You have inspired me to try Gouache, new medium to me. As for the show 🤯🤯!! Arcane was an amazing show with awesome characters and writing. Hands down the best animation ever!!
That looks pretty awesome. Always inspiring to see you try something new and just go for it ♥
From someone that couldn't draw/paint to save my life omfg what an incredible piece of art, the paints are amazing, I can't wait to see more

Man you inspired not to fear from trying new things. I will surely try new medium and expand my knowledge about art so thanks
That’s amazing - also my fave animation ever, not even into the game just absolutely blown away by the show.
Love it! I can hear your enthusiasm. Sounds like you had a lot of fun! :)
😍 I am obsessed with this painting. My husband plays league of legends and I could never get into it but after watching Arcane, I completely fell in love with this series. The art was definitely what captured me. I love jinx. I feel like I relate to her. Lol
This painting you made though, it is everything. 💜
Loved this video! I enjoy your more ‘serious’ art ❤️
Absolutely gorgeous! I think it says something about your talent, that you can create something so stunning with little knowledge of said medium. It's artists like you who inspire others.
Love it, you blew my mind. Watching it come together was mesmerizing, keep it up brother
That is probably one of the coolest paintings I’ve ever seen! You are crazy good
Smashed it mate. Absolutely brilliant work. Very well done indeed!
This looks absolutely amazing! The concept, the painting itself, absolute perfection
Loooooove it!!!
And yes gouache is the perfect medium for arcane! Please more of this.
Dannnnnng!!! This is INCREDIBLE!!! You’d never know you weren’t a pro in gouache!! Seriously, so SO cool, dude!
I love it!!!I mean, using a type of painting that is new for you and nailed it!!!
Amazing review trial of this product. Exceptional artwork and unique talent in perfect harmony. Was amazing to watch and to see your experiences using something new.
Sooooo cool! You're such a good artist! It was cool to see you really lock into the medium and make something awesome.
I LOVE ARCANE!!💖💖💖💖💖 One of the best shows on NETFLIX!! Love how your art turned out!
I love the painting! You inspired me to be an artist and now I am really good at shading inking and sketching!
I LOVE this so much. Please do more of these paintings 😍 this is so great 👍
You crushed it man. I have actually been using gouache for a little over a year now and your first go I actually learned several things. Your humility is admirable but you under rate yourself.
I am in absolute LOVE with this piece. This is something I'd buy a print of and hang on my wall. Jinx is my favorite character! I love the elements in the background so much. Great great great job man🖤
WOW!!! This turned out amazing!!! Glad you are feeling better.
You killed this man!! It’s crazy this is the first time tackling this medium. AmaZing work 💜✌🏼
This art is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 🤩🤩
I have not seen the show, but the art is amazing. 🤩
This is honestly one of my favorite things I've seen you do.
I fell in love with gouache for the same reasons you did as I love both acrylics and watercolor so this just presented the best of both worlds to me and I was able to get paintings out of it that looked like my digital paintings! I never wanted to try oils for various reasons and gouache feels like it's the best since I am impatient so I can't wait days for paint to dry but I also want to continue to blend. Gouache reactivates so I can leave a painting and come back to it and reactivate the paint when I want to blend and I love that! Your artwork turned out amazing I'm floored! I would love to see more of your paintings with this medium it actually makes me want to get mine out and play.
The artwork is great! I would not have guessed it’s your first time using the medium. I’ve never used it but I want to try it. I’ll check out the show as well!
This is so pretty 😍
Since you mentioned having a bit of trouble with blending skin tones in the video, you can use a clean brush just with water to blend or work in layers of less and less water. Gouache is basically watercolor with chalk in it, so it behaves a lot like that. It can also crack if the paint is really thick xD Starting with lighter layers can actually be better (depending on your subject) because the lower layers are less likely to reactivate and mix. Works a bit like oil paint with thick over thin.
Very useful info! Thank you!!
Better guache don't have chalk in it anymorw, just pigment and binder. Pigment is differently made than in watercolors and there is more of it, that's why it's more opaque. You can see that transparent pigments will often still be more transparent than others in guache form, too.
I absolutely love this!!! I just got my first gauche set for Christmas and the first time I used them was amazing. I fell in love with them just like you did and I can’t wait to see what else you make with them!
NOW THIS IS WHY I SUBSCRIBED TO ADC this painting is the best i have ever seen you do since i have subscribed to you
Awesome dude!! I love your work and I definitely enjoy learning from your videos! Thanks for sharing!👍🏾👍🏾
