    Thank you for the review! Knowing that they had those twin seats was awesome! First time flying on TG’s 777 should be interesting lol

      Cheers, thank you for watching! The twin seats are great if you've managed to grab them. Enjoy your flight and if you don't have status, be sure to do internet check in for a shorter line at the airport 👍

      I flew on HS-TKZ in 2022 on TG476 from Sydney to Bangkok. Also it was the last delivered Boeing 777-300er for Thai Airways. The plane is a 2015 777-300er.

    There's no shame in not often flying long-haul Y. After all, you need to keep airline status topped up to make it more palatable when you *are* flying Y.
    Interesting review - those twin seats look like the best option.

      For sure! I definitely value my Star Alliance gold status and it has paid off numerous times over the years. If I did this trip (including the return flights and transit time without a lounge in BKK) I'd be a lot less rosy about the experience. Thank you for watching! :)

    Hey there! I am flying the 777-300ER tonight to Stockholm Arlanda, were there any universal charging ports or tail cameras on the 777? I have flew the A350 and it had those so I wanted to see if there were any 😊

    • @LeisureFlyer
      @LeisureFlyer  Před rokem

      Hm, there's definitely USB but I do not recall any universal ports at my seat, but.. this may have been because of my two seat config in the last row. Looking back at my photos, there were definitely power points in the seats of 3. I don't remember any tail cam either. Enjoy your flight!

    Did they allow you go over 2kg extra? How heavy was your checked bag. I am sure there were lots of bags at the baggage claim from this flight since it was a 777

    • @LeisureFlyer
      @LeisureFlyer  Před 8 měsíci

      My bag was under the limit. I'm not sure how strict Thai are with the weight limits. If you get a nice person at check in, they might just let it through without charging any extra or making you unpack items. I connected on to another flight so I didn't see how many people / bags until my final destination. Thanks for watching!

      @@farhadgasimi4509 No sorry, but Sydney to BKK is about 9-10hrs, so not far off. On such a long flight in economy, I think it matters what time of day you fly. This flight was all day time, so not too bad. But if you fly overnight it might be a lot harder to try and get any quality rest.

    This might be a stupid question but was the flight extremely loud? I tend do have issues with that, especially on such a long flight.

    • @LeisureFlyer
      @LeisureFlyer  Před 9 měsíci

      The 777 is louder than other aircraft like the 787 or A350 that Thai have. A set of noise cancelling headphones makes a massive difference tbh, well worth the investment if you can. Otherwise, even foam ear plugs help while sleeping.
