I love learning about oils. Just dipping my toe in the water. I think there is something nice about using nature to improve our lives. Even if a mass amount of science isn’t available yet I’d still rather try these when possible instead of things that have caused horrible side effects for me. People have been using oils and herbs way before those were laboratory created products.

I have been wanting to get into oils forever but I just have a very hard time believing YL is the one and only GOOD oil brand. I understand a knock off brand at Walmart not being reliable. But I have tried doing a lot of research online and I am finding all the information I find is different depending on where I am looking. I have a small dog that has very sensitive skin and I don’t want to just bring home something that will make her get a reaction. And I also don’t want to buy a whole $100 starter kit if it’s not going to work for me. I just feel so frustrated with the oil community/industry because I don’t feel like they make it easy.

Some people are saying essential oils are snake oil and that she is saying they work JUST to make money...
I don't mean to be rude, but if this is you... have you ever tried essential oils before? (Like actual quality eos) because if you haven't, I don't think it is fair to say they are junk or snake oil.
I've personally been in a place where doctors, neurologists, and surgeons could not help me nor give me relief with my health issues. Essential oils (along with some Hellerworking) gave me back the life I never thought I was going to have again. But EOs were game changers for me. (Safely used of course!)
I personally don't align with the teachings of Young Living and doTERRA, because, as an aromatherapy student, I find them to be UNSAFE & sometimes dangerous (ex. Drinking eos in water, habitually neat (undiluted) use of oils, etc.)
But bottom line, ESSENTIAL OILS ARE POWERFUL!

I don’t get why everyone is so pissed off. She has a job just like everyone else. Do you get mad at Target because they try to sell you their products? No, bc that’s their job; if you don’t want it you just don’t buy it. She’s telling people what works for her and her experience; it may or may not be yours but don’t act like she’s the Devil Incarnate bc she’s promoting her business. Also, it is not her responsibility what you do and do not buy. If you want to try the oils bc you think they may help, gods speed. Quite frankly, it’s not that much more than one trip to the doctors office, the way insurance is now. If you’re a grown person with grown person income, how you spend your money (and the consequences of that) are on you. We all have to take responsibility for ourselves & our decisions.

Its disheartening to see someone you trusted buy into this. And you cant criticise it because they have their scripted answers for everything 🙄🙄

Best and most pure oils according to who? The company itself? During a vulnerable and scary time like this nation wide, the last thing you should be doing is selling your unnecessary crap. Do you know that there are millions and millions of unemployed people right now who will lose/have lost their homes? As you sit in your mansion working comfortably from home scheming. If anybody is smart enough and does a basic Google search of any MLM company they will see that it’s a scam. While it sells a “real product” it is priced so high to pay all the employees. Why don’t you suggest that people buy one oil to try? Instead you guys try to get people to sign up for a membership and buy a kit which ends up being a few hundred dollars. Young living and doTERRA oils have not helped me any more than an oil from Whole Foods. There are plenty of other great oil companies...young living isn’t the only one in the world. It also has a very sketchy and shady background and it should cease to exist because of that! Becca, I started following your account at the very beginning because you seemed like a very bright and educated girl. Now you sneak in advertisements for these stupid oils in every single video because it has become your claim to fame. You and your husband have quit your real jobs to scam people. I know you don’t truly buy this crap! I hope you are able to sustain your current lifestyle if young living ever goes under which it likely will.

Lady Kay yes exactly! I’ve used Now essential oils for years and I love them. If I hear “therapeutic grade” one more time... there’s no such thing.

This is just marketing to get YL sales. For someone who came across as very educated and knowledgeable and gave evidence based research on food and nutrition this is a huge disappointment. It’s all about the money for you, you can’t fool everyone. And there are other brands that sell pure oils. Doterra claims all the EXACT same stuff as do a few other companies. DōTERRA sales people even uses the exact same terms for similar oils such as “liquid courage.” I’m sure YL sells pure therapeutic grade oils but they’re not an ethical company and they’re NOT the only pure essential oil company out there. I’ll be unfollowing because I don’t want to be sold this crap in every video, that’s not why I subbed to your channel.
And additionally, at a time like this where there are millions of unemployed people it is not right to be pushing your multi level marketing agenda and making people think that oils will help their “emotions”

I agree with your comment. I was following with the belief she was going to use her job as a nutritionist and dietician to help reach a longer network--it is extremely disappointing.
I will say I got into essential oils because of Becca BUT after doing my own extensive research I am glad to say I only got suckered into buying one bottle from Young Living. I don't doubt they are pure essential oils, but as you stated they are NOT the only company and actually aren't as ethical as they seem.
Young Living is truly in the business of marketing and great at having people like Becca market their products. They use THEIR own quality standards to test their own oils so of course it's the highest quality in their book *rolls eyes*
I've found many other companies that I love for a fraction of the cost some even have an organic options, don't hide their reports, and customer service is amazing--already more ethical than Young Living. I use a lot of essential oils, have friends who swear by it, and introduced friends to it (no money made--I just point them directly to the website and give them resources to help their own research), but it is NOT magic liquid that will solve true underlying issues.
Peppermint on your neck to cool you? Yes it works, but I've known about this for years from my mom's homemade peppermint oil. You can get organic and pure peppermint oil from many companies like Aura Cacia for $10-$12 direct from their site, Amazon or even Whole Foods. I compared this brand and another that I love to my friend's YL one and it is just the same if not better than YL. I converted said friend who was die hard YL and Doterra fan--she still uses some of the YL and Doterra but have also expanded her collection to include many brands.
For those looking into Essential oils--- they are a great, but PLEASE PLEASE do your own research. There are MANY reputable companies out there that are PURE and just as good if not better than YL.
Also true so much more disappointing to use a sensitive time to push MLM. I have nothing against MLM's as I have family who are involved in some type of business and love to support if it makes sense.
I know, I wrote a novel, but hate to see people get suckered into spending so much. During such uncertain times, save your money for rainy days (or quarantine days like now).

Your willingness to completely abandon the evidence based, scientific approach you usually preach in regards to nutrition (come on, girl - we know you know this is total BS pseudoscience!!) in order to make money is completely baffling.

Alternative therapies are not there to REPLACE medicine, they are there as a supplement to work alongside conventional medicine. I am a midwife in the UK and our university degree and training is always focused on evidence based information. But when it comes to pain relief, insomnia, antibacterial properties and mental well-being you’d be surprised at how much evidence there actually is out there about essential oils. If it’s a placebo, then who cares? If it works for you it’s works for you. I would much rather manage my insomnia with lavender than I would long term use of heavy medications if I can. Oils like tea tree are known to have antibacterial and antifungal properties when used on contaminated surfaces and that is evidence based. I don’t agree with young living as a company, it’s an overpriced brand that pretend they have all these regulations and standards as an excuse to up sell their products and they are a pyramid scheme. BUT I don’t think it’s fair for us to just shit on anyone who uses essential oils and feel like they benefit from them. As a midwife I see women relax every single day when in pain if we start diffusing lavender but also highly value the use of pethidine and epidurals when needed. I take daily medication for a long term health condition and I’m very very pro conventional medicine and science, but we can’t just discredit people’s positive experiences with alternative therapies. If it’s not causing any harm, then who cares. I do agree though that Young Living arguably do cause harm to people’s pockets, overpriced BS

I don't mean to be rude, but have you ever tried essential oils before? (Like actual quality eos) because if you haven't, I don't think it is fair to say they are junk or snake oil.
I've personally been in a place where doctors, neurologists, and surgeons could not help me nor give me relief with my health issues. Essential oils (along with Hellerworking) gave me back the life I never thought I was going to have again.
I personally don't align with the teachings of Young Living and doTERRA, because, as an aromatherapy student, I find them to be UNSAFE & sometimes dangerous (ex. Drinking eos in water, habitually neat (undiluted) use of oils, etc.)

It’s so exploitative that you would use this time in history to sell your mlm oils. Just gross. I normally enjoy your videos, but this is gross. People are losing their jobs and little children are going hungry without school meals and your hocking your oils. 🤨
