- just some decorating and shuffling through old photo memories with my hometown pal han :) this video is super super long and all over the place because it’s basically just hannah and i very slowly putting together a wall hehe.
just came back from being in texas for the weekend (vlog coming later, don’t worry!). it was the happiest I'd been in months. being there really made me realize what is truly important. it reminded me of what my dreams were, what i’d always wanted to set out to do, and it reminded me of all i went through to get to where i am. All my childhood dreams resurfaced, and oh my god, i am so excited to pursue them. thank you for being here for me. it means the world.
it was so nice to be with han too (thanks for being in this vid, han. miss u). there is nothing more valuable in this entire world than a true friend.

I'm 17 from england and deciding universities and seeing your experiences are really helpful, though hopefully that won't come across the wrong way. there's so many things I've found I have similar with you and its kinda nice. conan!! i started university at the beginning of this year and am currently in second semester and I gotta say i resonate a lot with how you're feeling right now, or at least I used to. I hated my entire first semester. after the break between the end of high school and the start of first sem, i was exhausted for the first two months straight of university. awful headaches, not enough sleep, I detested 2/4 of my classes and all i wanted to be doing was writing my book and pursuing my passions. but i've stuck it out, wanting to finish at least the first year, and I've got one week to go before i've officially completed that initial goal, and it does get better, or at least it has for me. I picked different subjects (first year subjects are notoriously boring anyway) and i've found I'm getting better at doing readings and essays, second semester has been much less mentally exhausting. we're obviously different people and your experiences up until this point and from here on out may be entirely different to mine, but I thought it might be helpful to know that i don't think feeling the way you do right now is that uncommon. adored the video as well by the way!!

Conan, I just wanted to say that i felt the same exact way when I started college. I’m a bio major though, so different field of study and whatnot, but i literally hated college when I first started. I was absolutely miserable my first semester. I hated everything- I hated my classes, I stopped hanging out with my friends, i stopped eating. I wanted to go home, but I simultaneously wanted to be alone all the time. But things changed. I took great classes that inspired me and that I loved. I had amazing professors who challenged me and made me feel special, professors who changed my life. I met people from different backgrounds and different fields of study who made me see the world differently. i got involved in many things on campus, from volunteering to research to societies, all of which have changed some part of my life and are a part of who i am now. I’m a junior now, and its not always great. i have taken (and am taking) bad classes with bad professors. i take classes that i have to even though i dislike them. i don’t get enough sleep, I’m stressed about my academics/career/life 24/7, I’m mostly broke, and i have to deal with normal adult things too. college isn’t always great. but its not always bad, and it may just take some time to see that. but i believe in you! i believe you will take amazing classes with fantastic professors, meet great people, and be presented with amazing opportunities. it may seem rough right now, but things won’t always be this way. but whatever path you end up choosing, i know you will thrive and be great! anyway i just wanted to share my experience as a fellow college student ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
