We say that Marreta gave Jon his hardest fight, but we don't know if Marreta will ever be the same. The amount of damage done to his leg in that one fight can put him on the shelf and prevent him from being the dynamic knockout guy that he has built a reputation on being. Every knee ligament torn AND a fractured shin is a lot to recover from. Good luck to Santos
Weird to see people hyping up the Dominic Reyes rematch (which is legit) when Thiago is more deserving of the rematch . Thiago was very very impressive versus Jones. Jones was lucky to take the split decision
THANK YOU!! I’ve been saying this about jones for a long time jones beat a lot of old fighters while MM beat people in their peak and was just that much better.
Agree with most of what Joe said apart from his statement on the Jones vs gustaffson fight you can't shine in the championship rounds if your not in shape....
Ordinary Nocturne he still would’ve won because he recognized that santoses knee was screwed up and attacked his knee instead of taking him to the ground jones would’ve adapted to the challenge he was facing and he would’ve played it way safer.

By your analysis he should be undefeated. Burt was no scrub by any stretch of the imagination, coke should have put him over the top according to you 🤦🏿♂️. Stop the dumb shit.
Man I hope santos can recover from that injury he’s a beast but I fear that will keep him from ever being 100% again and he will keep reinjuring it again in every fright from here on out
To all the Jones fans.Remember USADA has a list what every fighter can and cant take of supplements and so forth. He knew exactly what he was taking and was trying to pull one over on everyone. His brother did the exact same thing.
@@matthewmontgomery31 Can you elaborate, instead of calling me names over the internet? This is a pretty dumb tactic where you cannot explain stuff and you resort to calling names.
here’s what happened , yeah jon was pushing forward but he didn’t throw shit? He was very inactive as a champion. Santos was the only one throwing real dangerous combinations and strikes the entire time. Only reason jon was looked at as the victor was santos slips because of his knee it made jon look good. I KNEW going in this fight he’d give jon his toughest fight of his career. I’m not saying santos won that fight but quit acting like jon made it a harder fight by not taking him down, I don’t think he had a choice. He went for one takedown in the fight and realized how much energy that would drain so he didn’t do it the entire fight once it was stuffed. Jon was nullified with flurries everytime he tried to capitalize on santos leg. Honestly, santos would have won that fight if he wasn’t fighting jon jones you feel? If it was any other opponent judges would easily say santos.
Adpted nah not really santos didn’t land anything to hurt him. Jones has been a takedown artist his whole career and you think he wouldn’t of been able to take down a 1 knee fighter if he pressed it? He even said after the fight he didn’t take him down bc he didn’t feel the need to. He knew he was injured and decided to beat him in Santos strength
Joe talking about how Jon Jones barley trained and all that other shit" well just imagine DC being all jacked up on steroids" and having so much energy and such a high pain threshold" from doing cocaine and other illicit drugs, I would love to see that version of Daniel Cormier , now whether or not that DC could beat JJ is a whole hell of a different question that will never be answered. 🤔
I hate how people say that Jon chose to fight standing to make it more competitive. That's not how fighting works. Fighters *always* use their advantages. (Except Rockhold that is) Jon saw that Thiago stuffed that take-down and knew that wouldn't work in his favor so he fought the way he did.

yall all on this man's dick...he doesn't impress me. Just a regular talking dude.
If Santos doesnt get hurt in the first round, not to mention he came in with an injury, he knocks Jones out. I wanna see the rematch
I loved Thiago‘s toughness in the fight but I also hate it. Such an injury is pretty dangerous for your future fighting career..
So wouldn‘t have it been better to throw the towel in?
Josua Groß exactly what I was thinking during the match
Aljamain has a great sense of humor. New fan of his after this show.
Well u called it
Weird to see people hyping up the Dominic Reyes rematch (which is legit) when Thiago is more deserving of the rematch . Thiago was very very impressive versus Jones. Jones was lucky to take the split decision
I agree. Santos MUST get another shot at Jones.
THANK YOU!! I’ve been saying this about jones for a long time jones beat a lot of old fighters while MM beat people in their peak and was just that much better.
Agree with most of what Joe said apart from his statement on the Jones vs gustaffson fight you can't shine in the championship rounds if your not in shape....
If Santos would not have blasted his knee to HELL, Bones would have been in some trouble.
Ordinary Nocturne he still would’ve won because he recognized that santoses knee was screwed up and attacked his knee instead of taking him to the ground jones would’ve adapted to the challenge he was facing and he would’ve played it way safer.
Jon actually injured Santos leg, with that in mind he won hands down. The fight may have been different had jon not hurt santos early
@@kaedenliebert130 i can agree to that. Bones is something different in almost every fight but Santos is a DEMON when hes coming full force too.
I think Jones won because he was aggressive the whole fight, but Santos is super tough and I really hope he recovers and fight his way back to a rematch.
santos threw the double and connected the double. he won the fight
Nathan Luz he lost it get over it
@@nathanluz1218 to us hardcore fans we know Santos won the fight but he's not the money draw Jon Jones's the money draw so they're not going to let the title change hands on a close fight. I also believe that if Santos didn't injure himself we'd have a new champ at light heavyweight.
how about the drugs ?
Eh in my eyes he was pushing forward with nothing to do
That hokey pokey shit was hilarious 🤣
Loving the funk master shirt with the gold chains☺️
Jon "Broke a toe and still win a fight" Jones.
Am I the only one who misses demetrious Johnson, he was a much better champion then cringe cejudo IMO.
Theago Santos is a fucking beast ,... still fighting hard after that knee shattered and a fracture in his shin,... i cant fucking believe it ,.. i cant even imagine how he felt but still kicking hard this guys are on an other level ,...much respect !
Can’t wait for the inevitable rematch these two have.
Bomb Squad? That's the hardest MMA team name..
That's the boxing HW champ crew name
@@montbrink4700 still hard
Its hard but i think The Blackzillians sounds a little bit doper.
Til this day
@@elmboy20 ....I have to disagree on that one lol...
To me this Santos fight was amazingly impressive with all those injuries and in my eyes beat jon jones unbelievable
Go to sleep mate your talking bs
Joe wants his friends to eat “tell them your podcast” that’s a real one
Jons collected eyeballs from every opponent 😂
Joe, I saw that J. Walker shoulder rehab clip... Bro!!! That shoulder is in bad shape
His career could be over. It's almost 7 months and his arm can't do better than an old lady with arthritis
He needs to go to someone who specializes in frozen shoulders.
Good News: In his most recent instagram story he said that his doctor told him after an x-ray that there shouldn't be any more problems with his shoulder and he himself said that he'll maybe fight again as soon as september or october.
@@gti5700 r u dumb u hater? He's asking DANA for a fight he's better now
ANGRYGREEKMANYO super reasonable response guy
Joe: did Jon Jones eat any grass fed beef? Maybe some elk ?
rogan will fill your freezer full of elk when he returns from his hunting trip in Montana
and dope
What a warrior Thiago seriously tore his knee completely apart
Joe "his knee was mangled" Rogan
Imagine Santos KO both Jones and the judge.

All the junkies I’ve ever seen get into a fight off coke have taken big L’s. Hospital type L’s. Iono what theories y’all coming up with in your hypotheticals but in real life your not a better or stronger fighter on coke. They’re fast as a muthafucka on foot but don’t start believing if I just take coke I’m Jon Jones. 🤦🏿♂️ Burt Cooper was my next door neighbor forever (RIP), it was common knowledge Burt was heavy on coke in all of his fights. By your analysis he should be undefeated. Burt was no scrub by any stretch of the imagination, coke should have put him over the top according to you 🤦🏿♂️. Stop the dumb shit.

Man I hope santos can recover from that injury he’s a beast but I fear that will keep him from ever being 100% again and he will keep reinjuring it again in every fright from here on out
Aljamain is cool AF!
Would be a sound guy to chill with!
To all the Jones fans.Remember USADA has a list what every fighter can and cant take of supplements and so forth. He knew exactly what he was taking and was trying to pull one over on everyone. His brother did the exact same thing.
Matt skeletor i agree bro , he cheated and it’s fucked up , however he is a great Fighter and can clearly hang with the best still
Did USADA come and tell you this quietly in your ear?
@@sambridhathapa4313 Its the rules. Obviously you dont know anything about mma..get out troll
@@matthewmontgomery31 Can you elaborate, instead of calling me names over the internet? This is a pretty dumb tactic where you cannot explain stuff and you resort to calling names.
@@sambridhathapa4313 Do you know how many videos there is out there on USADA? You can even look it up yourself if you are inclined to.
here’s what happened , yeah jon was pushing forward but he didn’t throw shit?
Love armchair mma warriors trynna act like they know more than an actual mma fighter & commentator lol
Leo I’m saying my opinion of what I watched you fucking tool.
7Ahilles santos footwork was working wym? Until his leg buckled he was doing just fine letting jon come to him instead of chasing jon.
but did he land more than jon? no. so it doesn't matter if he threw more.
3:26 correction joe he said I beat you after a weekend of cocaine 😂
Always been a fan of Sterling. Great guy.
Cormier would be ktfo
exactly popie, why is joe ignoring that fact
I hate how people say that Jon chose to fight standing to make it more competitive.
That's not how fighting works.
Fighters *always* use their advantages.
(Except Rockhold that is)
Jon saw that Thiago stuffed that take-down and knew that wouldn't work in his favor so he fought the way he did.
Exactly what I thought, Jon Jones didn't even try to take him down after he got lit up in the first attempt.
Isn’t rockhold a black belt? why didn’t he try and take Jan down?
Thank you
@@willieb.haardigan8984 Cause Jan has pretty good takedown defense and like he showed, he packs a punch too
@@willieb.haardigan8984 you saw a different match bro, first thing Rockhold did ,was, try to take Jan down. He tried in the next round too but failed miserably.
He’s the greatest mixed martial artist on steroids fighting today. Hands down.
Need a JJ vs DC 3 bro!! Think how well that fight would sell too
Biggest thing that automatically discredits JJ from the goat conversation.. he tested positive, MM is goat
Calm down bruh, that's that roid rage talkin' lol
Samuel Deimous 💥💥💥
Midgets can never be the GOAT.
Still didn’t pop when he beat majority of his comp. it was only over the course of like 1 fight. Was clean when he was running through legends and even no post USADA still dominate
DJ hasn’t fought the same level of guys Jon has or even close to it.
Everyone tries to downplay Jones because he's a very dislikeable person but he's beaten some of the greatest ufc fighter's of all time
He's garbage not that he's not on pico anymore
It is indisputable. And I don't like him. You cannot deny his dominance, who ever shows up against him loses.
Eazyboy W the failed PED tests don’t help either
he's beaten some of the greatest ufc fighter's of all time on p.e.d's lmao
Come on!
The only thing people downplay is his failed performance enhancers test he has failed.
Sterling has entertaining personality and great voice. Needs his own show Asap
i'm gonna be honest...i dont like him because he's black
It’s crazy how many people overlook Corey Anderson when talking about the light heavyweight division

Aljamain Sterling sounds like someone who plays Super Smash Bros
Henry actually had the balls to move up in weight rather than padding his record in a dead division. Mighty Mouse ducked the bantamweight division like the plague. Henry > MM.
Ya coke is a stimulant, if anything it's gonna improve your performance. Like giving props to a guy for beating someone while on drugs. Why, just why
Would be true but what jon said is he beat him AFTER a weekend of cocaine, coke lasts 45 minutes... not very energizing after that
Tbh you do some cocaine and drinking i wake you up the day after to fight you could barely get out of bed.... they're is nothing tou want to do on that yeyo drop except more yeyo =p

@@MrZozotier exactly my reasoning for thinking he was on it during the fight
what i love was jon is such a good showmanship he aint abuse thiago after his injury
Yeah but we know for certain that DJ has been clean his whole career so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. The Santos fight was Jon's first without testing positive in years and didn't look like his normal self.
I would hope Jon controlled the fight when his opponent was on one leg. Not to take away from Jon's greatness, but man Thiago has the heart of lion.
If jon wanted to dominate he would have just slammed his ass to the ground he wanted to proove he could hang with a noted kickboxer top class striker how can u not see that man these dudes cant beat Jonny
Sam Caraballo You rlly think Jon's egotistical ass wouldn't try to win the fight as efficiently and fast as possible? Get real. Jon avoided takedowns because I suspect he wanted to use his reach advantage and avoid the risk of being caught by Thiago's bombs. Much safer to do what he did.
