    I think people doesn’t realize what a monster Thiago is. Having all the ligaments of your knee ripped off and still pulling out a poker face and going 5 rounds fighting equally with the champion. I can’t even imagine the level of pain he was on.

      The One that’s not five rounds straight, it’s more helping against momentary pain (imagine after a hard kick to your leg where you can keep going). Especially between rounds and “relaxing” must suck and feel pain

      @ghost_615 Před 5 lety +6

      I don't know if I'd say PEDs, but something definitely looked off. Maybe it's the fatigue of fighting three times so close together (first time he's done that in how long?) But yeah, I thought he was mostly phoning it in. He also acted completely unaware of Santos' knee injury...which is ridiculous. Santos was stumbling and wobbling several times throughout the fight with Jones standing right in front of him. So for Jones to not notice or for his corner to not instruct him to attack that leg just seems insane. This was the type of fight that makes me question the betting line and allowing it to go the distance. Had Jones attacked the injury like he should have, this fight would have been over by the 3rd round.

Santos was the only one throwing real dangerous combinations and strikes the entire time. Only reason jon was looked at as the victor was santos slips because of his knee it made jon look good. I KNEW going in this fight he’d give jon his toughest fight of his career. I’m not saying santos won that fight but quit acting like jon made it a harder fight by not taking him down, I don’t think he had a choice. He went for one takedown in the fight and realized how much energy that would drain so he didn’t do it the entire fight once it was stuffed. Jon was nullified with flurries everytime he tried to capitalize on santos leg. Honestly, santos would have won that fight if he wasn’t fighting jon jones you feel? Sam Caraballo You rlly think Jon's egotistical ass wouldn't try to win the fight as efficiently and fast as possible? Get real. Jon avoided takedowns because I suspect he wanted to use his reach advantage and avoid the risk of being caught by Thiago's bombs. Much safer to do what he did.
