- In this tutorial I'll show you how to make your footage any shape you want without the hassle of using masks. In fact, all you need is premiere pro and a png image of the shape you want your footage to be.

Bonus: I'll also be showing you several other effects you can add on to really enhance your commentaries, letsplays or whatever you want to use this for.
First off, I'll show you how to add effects like drop shadows. Then I'll show you how to move and zoom your footage within the track matte - it's actually very easy to do!
I'll then show you a fancy technique that allows you to use black and white footage as a mask. Great for ink transitions.
And the last two use after effects. Firstly, I'll show you how to create a glowing line border around your footage (kind of like Ali Abdaal). Then we'll finish up with a cool boxing cut out.

I think u could have used masking as well i believe ..Any comment?
there is an issue I ran into, when I set the scale lower than 100 in the the transform the square png shape i picked becomes a weird shape but zoom in is working, I cant seem to be able to figure it out, are you able to help me?
I was having trouble with this so bad! In my video i need the mask object to have a fixxed position. Like... perma fixxed. And I often need to reposition the underlaying video. However when I do that, the Mask shape move with it. Your instruction at 3.46 (offset in combination with 'track matte key') was the solution after HOURS of trial and error frustration. when I applied the track-mate key to my footage & selected the matte layer to my respective layer in my case V-3 the footage just disappeared ??? Can you please guide
Thanks for the help. But i still need more help...why does my shape for example the square appear bigger than my image...as it not the mask becomes to big to clip the image...could you please help me out..

I've watched a couple videos using cropping, and this one is definitely a different technique than I've seen before. However, no one seems to address how to transition from the footage with the crop back to full frame footage, and back to crop again. Trying to sort out how to do that step also :) Maybe a good short to link to this video??
