Was a miracle for my brother who could barely function. He’s living and loving life now, 1 year later. A last resort but it worked.

So you’d recommend it? I need to do something for my daughter and family?

I know someone who had this and they said it was the most horrible thing to them and to never let it happen to anyone else

@Rogelio H millions of people have had ECT and why don't you do a little research?

I had 12 of them, it saved me life... Not horrible at all.

@@kevintewey1157 that someone is a liar. The amount of electricity gives you a seizure and you won’t remember it happening. As soon as they put you under to have seizures you’ll forget everything that happened. Your friend watched requiem for a dream too many times and is making shit up.

      I've 40.
      It was a total nightmare.
Loosing memories, skills, not able to regognise people,.changing of personality. My mind was absolute nightmare.
After.15 years i've gaining some memories.
1 to 4 shocks at the beginning of a severe depression, is maybe a good idea. Not more. You are loosing everything. Not even able to go to work back.

I live about an hour away from a university hospital that offers this but, I can get in to try it. (Has to be in patient only). That's really hard to deal with, when nothing else has worked. So, I'm just stuck waiting for...idk what.

1:11 I am doing ECT treatments, and I am still suicidal. It really is a last resort. It's painful... I think I have had around 40 treatments so far

It is barbaric.. But if somebody makes informed consent to this, it is completely legit. If you don't mind losing your memories and have a significant drop in your IQ. American football also causes brain damage after all, and people still take the risk. Forced or coerced ECT without fully informed consent on the other hand is a human rights violation and should be considered a crime.

It piss me of that the person at 1:52 claim it work when other thing don't 😡it may work..or it may don't but standing there and smile and say like it works for everyone ut just f stupid and it have risks, some people have temporarily impairs short-term memory and others can have it for life 😡😡😡
