  • A very wet day on Buachaille Etive Beag. Full guide, walkthrough and time-lapse with some commentary and additional photographs of what you can see on a good weather day on the ridge of Buachaille Etive Beag.
Please note: The amazing views are from those parts of the walk on Buachaille Etive Beag, just not from the same day as the video was recorded.
I’ve been climbing Scottish mountains for over 30 years. I’ve almost finished the 282 highest mountains in Scotland, collectively known as the Munros. As I’m getting closer to completing the Munros I thought I’d start making a series of walkthrough videos for all of the Munros.

Absolutely love the way you do these videos! USA guy who loves hiking in Scotland. Toughest mountain I've climbed is Bidean but it's a little nerve wracking tackling some of these munros when you don't know the intricacies of these mountains. This detail really helps.

Hi, thanks for the comment, hope you have clear skies, looks like it's going to be cold with some snow.

Really great video, my wife and I are heading up to Scotland on holiday in January and I've been looking for an easy-ish munro to do in this area, so this might be perfect for us. We bought all the winter gear last year and did Ben Lommond and Ben Ledi in winter conditions, so this might be ideal for our next one. The timewarp vids of the paths and summit approaches were really helpful! You have a new subscriber ;) Andy

Thanks, in the right weather this is a great winter walk with incredible views.

Maybe put in a subtitle at around 11:20 since I gave you duff info about the name of the peak! (Stob Dubh, not Stob Dearg - getting my colours mixed up!) I should add that that was the wettest day on the hill we've had for quite a while.

Does this car park get busy early? My friend and I are planning on doing this walk in a couple of weeks and want to have an idea of what time to leave the house at

Sorry not sure, I've never had a problem and I normally get there before 8am, there is a second parking layby on the LHS a little bit south of the main carpark that I've used in the past and I've never seen it full.
