    This is really great to see and understand that these dogs are absolutely not "attacking" because they are aggressive. An aggressive dog couldn't be called off in the middle of an attack, nor could it be that composed and controlled. It's just play to them, and they are extremely well trained. I'm tired of hearing about how crazy and aggressive police dogs are.

      me too I'm so tired of hearing that they are aggressive and vicious...I was walking my German Shepherd with a dog leash just in case one broke ( because one broke by accident one time) and this lady started calling him vicious...I got so mad

    • @trenaareen1216
      @trenaareen1216 Před 8 lety

      Wait, but at the same time, it isn't exactly "play". Play is a different mindset than what the police work towards with their dogs.

      @MissTrixie29 Před 7 lety +5

      Not for the dog. They aren't attacking and they aren't being vicious. I've seen people have less control over their small dogs than this yet people see this and assume the dog is out of control. On the contrary, the handler is very much in control and the dog and handler have a bond and trust relationship beyond sit and stay.

    • @KaregoAt
      @KaregoAt Před 7 lety +4

      Exactly! If they were being aggressive their body language would be totally different. They are intense, sure, but not out of control.

    Note to self, never run from police dogs! Also those handlers must have strong back and arm muscles to hold those dogs on the lead while they are pulling.

    Do most of them have a squeaky bark because their throats have been damaged? They do a lot of leash corrections. Also may be caused when they agitate the dogs to go for the bite. I know they use agitation collars but maybe it doesn't do a good enough job.

    What training does the police have in that in a situation of these they have the gun pointed with the forefinger on the trigger 18:08 WTF, even knowing that the weapons are not loaded I think the not the way to deal with the situation, and great job with dogs.

      You see, in America, most police dogs are full-fledged German shepherds. But in Europe, a lot are just shepherd mixes. It isn't just the Germans that have a pointy-eared protection kind of dog! There's also the very similar Belgian malinois, or the teruven, to name a fear

    Why are the leads around some of their necks instead of the harnesses, to me it seems cruel. I always believed the harness was safer as the dog can not pull it off as they can with just the collar and much more comfortable for the dog. 🇦🇺🐕😁

    Too young. Conventional wisdom says protect those growing ligaments, and these dummies are yanking the pups off their feet. Wheres the sense in such highly trained dogs, when their careers are ended early because they are crippled with hip dysplasia or other joint damage? Not sure pulling a grown man is safe for the dog long term either, but I'm a softie. Beautifully trained and controlled, however.

      it really is, when you go to craft to do a display you better have some good level of dog training, this is just very basic.
      its nice, cant say it isnt, but its worth displaying.
