मैंने जो सुना है उसके अनुसार मोहम्मद रफी साहब बालीवुड के सबसे शरीफ आदमी थे।
कभी अपने को वक़्त से उपर नहीं समझना चाहिए. वक़्त जब चाहे अकल ठिकाने लगा देता है! रफ़ी साहब के उदार व्यक्तित्व को प्रणाम!!
बहुत अच्छी कहानी सुनाई आपने। रफ़ी साहब सिंगिंग के student नहीं पूरा insititiute थे। उनके सभी गाने आज, कल और हमेशा सुने जाएंगे। उनकी मधुर आवाज के दीवाने उनको हमेशा सुनेंगे और याद रखेंगे।
महान music directors ये बात अच्छी तरह जानते हैं कि कौन सा गाना किस singer से गवाना चाहिए। और कई बार तो वो singer को दिमाग़ में रखकर ही धुन बनाते हैं। बाक़ी के गीत किशोर दा के हिसाब से ही सही थे और ये 'नफ़रत की दुनिया...' रफ़ी साहब के हिसाब से एकदम perfect था।
ऐसे में comparison करना ठीक नहीं है। हमें हर legend का सम्मान करना चाहिए। वैसे मैं तो दोनों का ही मुरीद हूँ।

1971 की इस फिल्म को मैने 11 साल की उम्र में देखा था। उस उम्र में उस फिल्म ने मुझे काफी इंप्रेस किया और गाने में शौकीन होने के कारण मुझे किशोर, लता दीदी के गाने आनद बक्शीजी के गीत और एलपी के संगीत से जुड़े गाने तो मैं बार बार सुनता ही हु, मगर रफी साहब के उस लाजवाब गीत ने मुझे रुला दिया था।

यह फिल्म मैंने सन् १९७५ में अपने शहर से दूसरे शहर में जाकर देखी थी फिल्म काफी अच्छी थी उस समय फिल्म को थियेटर में लगने से पहले ही उसके गाने रेडियो पर आने लगते थे इस फिल्म के गाने भी रेडियो पर खूब धूम मचा मचा रहे थे फिल्म के सभी गाने बढ़िया थे लेकिन रफ़ी साहब के गाने ने आंखों में आसूं ला दिये थे। आज भी यह गाना सुनने पर आंखों में आसूं आ जाते हैं।

यह गाना भी किशोर कुमार से गवाया था लेकिन गाने में जो फिलिंग चाहिये थी वह नहीं मिल पा रही थी, फिर किशोरदा ने ही यह गाना रफ़ी साहब से गवाने को कहा था. सिर्फ हाथी मेरे साथी के साथ मुक्कदर का सिंकंदर फिल्म के दर्दभरे चार लाईन गाने के लिये रफ़ी साहब को मनाना पड़ा था.

आप लोग कुछ भी मनगढ़ंत कहानी बना लेते हो । उस समय के गीतकार संगीतकार अत्यन्त प्रतिभाशाली थे, वे कहानी की मांग और मूड को देखकर गीत संगीत रचते थे। और गीत, फिल्म और हीरो को ध्यान में रखकर उपयुक्त गायक से ही गीत गवाए जाते थे। रफ़ी साहब हों या किशोर दा गीतकार पहले से ही गायक को ध्यान में रखकर गीत लिखते और संगीतकार संगीत देते थे।
इसी तरह रफ़ी साहब और किशोर दा देश के अनमोल रत्न थे जिनका कोई मुकाबला हो ही नहीं सकता क्योंकि दोनों का अंदाज और गायकी अद्भुत थी । उनकी जगह कोई दूसरा नहीं ले सकता था।🙏🙏
