    It is a clever idea. I like it because i could do it. It seems light but in my case i do not think this will resist the waves in my area. The top panels could be lost in the wind in the river. I do not see in this video any attached panels on top. They seem just deposited in the grooves or i did I miss something?

      I just had 2 panels of three 1x6 connected together and laying on top. 2 years ago a storm hit and a lot of the dock was lost. . The whole purpose of this dock was something I could easily break down and carry and not be too disappointed if I lost in a storm. I replaced it with a dock from www.playstarinc.com/docks which is way more money but I haven't lost it yet.

    Very weak system. 2x2 is not enough for weight bearing. Put your deck boards across and use the 2x2 as cleats on the bottom. Make 4 ft sections that can still be removed.
