You guys are forgetting some cards in the show are MUCH rarer then in real life, there are 4 blues-eyes, kaiba only has 3 cuz he’s rich. And Arkana was working with Marik so he could have forged both his dark magicians.
From the wiki, the text of the anime version says you need to draw cards until you draw a non-Monster Card. Nowhere does it say to stop when your opponent's life reaches 0. Yugi was just following the rules...

I like both the sub and dub version if this scene! The sub version is Yami going Beserk on Weevil, losing himself to rage. The dub version is Yami acting dark and cruel, his anger is more cold and calculating. Both are great!
You know what brutal in Yugi/Atem? His cheating ability that he can draw whatever card he wants. Which means that his deck can be changed into all monster card
I think it's limited by what's actually in his deck at the time. I don't think he can physically change the cards in his deck to whatever he wants. Just the order he draws them. Would be super broken if he could see the future.
He doesn't change the cards, but duelists connected to Ancient Egypt or duel spirits can get impossibly lucky with their draws. Granted, they have /skill/ as well.
